Posted: 7/14/2008 6:17:11 AM | | I have to say that I turned 52 in march and my sex drive keeps getting better and better. Just because I am over 50 doesn`t mean that I am going to slow down any. I still enjoy pleasing the woman that I am with, that doesn`t change a thing. I used to hear stories about when you are over 50 that your sex drive slows to nothing and you can`t get an erection any more. I have news for them, it keeps getting better and better and harder and harder. Any one out there interested in a 52 year old who thinks that life is definitely better after 50? | |

but like most important things in life, experience makes them so much better and sex is definitely one of them.

WELL! I know that for me its all about knowing who I am and loving who I am. I used to be afraid my hair was going to look messy or my make up might get smudged. As I have gotten older I have learned not to care about those things when intimate.
I also think it has to do with the fact that I have absolutely no problem being vocal and saying "hey not like that, more like this".

It was never BAD, but it's WAY better now, It's a combination of confidence, skill, open-mindedness, communication, experience... libido rises in women later in life (well, it did for me.. from 35 on.. wow) I also think one is less concerned with what others think, less concerned with pregnancy (a HUGE fear when younger.. yes, ON THE PILL even) less concerned with a lot of things that inhibit one when one is younger. And small children are not conducive to a great sex life....
Life is just a lot more fun when the whole peer pressure thing melts away and you 're not as self-conscious. Authenticity is an aphrodisiac.
Plus I KNOW what I like and I'm not afraid to ask for it... and I've found that more mature men are much more likely to be skilled, patient, sensual as opposed to just sexual, and eager to please.
It's more relaxed and at the same time much hotter.
It's hard to qualify.. actually

I dont know if its better or worse, but it is different than it was.
One big difference is that I could have sex with anything with a slit with no feelings at all for them otherwise and now I don't respond that way with someone I don't otherwise have feelings for.
Another difference is that I really didn't care about women when I was younger, I'd have been happy as a bee going from flower to flower and that is no more, too.

Except for those people who are really good at 25; then spend the next 15 years forgetting how.
Sex keeps getting better as long as you want sex to keep getting better; until you hit the point that your health actually interferes. I've learned things in the last couple of weeks that will help make me a better lover.
Some 25 year old kid was giving me grief about this. I just asked him, "Are you better now than you were at 15?" He said he was; and I asked "So do you think your going to spend the next 10 years getting worse; or learning more, and getting better?" He smiled, and bought my next beer. | |

I have always loved sex and had an active sex life as I was married to a women for 23 years that liked sex a lot and would seldom ever turn me down. Now that I am single it is longer in between times I have sex as I don't go to bars and haul them out drunk,lol. I was dating a girl I met on POF for awhile and our sex life was great, I mean we really fit together great and I hated for it to end but she had mood problems and I could not deal well with them. I am 55 and still going strong. I love it.
