Posted: 9/2/2008 5:25:11 AM | I have found that sex has gotten much better since hitting 40. I am 46 now, and very comfortable with my sexual abilities and my body. I've learned over the years what women REALLY like, and have learned to communicate to them what I really like. When you are younger, you just assume that you are the worlds greatest lover. It's all about the sex.  As you get older, you realize that there is always room for improvement and learning. You also learn to appreciate just being with your partner, snuggling and holding them.  When you use what you've learned, you will have your partner roaring like a lioness, and you also will be reaping the benefits. 
When I was young, I couldn't even imagine older people having sex. It just seemed like it would boring for them. Now that I'm there, I realize just how wrong my thinking was.

Sex, for men, does take more than just a bit of physical exertion and it is very important to have the muscles and stamina to make sex fun and enjoyable. Weak muscles and painful backs do not make for hot, crazy monkey-sex. | |

While I guess this can be true, it's not an issue for me, I'm in very good physical condition. (Better than a lot of men half my age according my doctor.) It's a matter of actual enjoyment. My orgasms are less intense and require more work to achieve them. Throw in less attractive women and lots of stress from work, family, and finances, and you begin to not enjoy or crave the act as much as when you were younger. | |

i was all concerned about sex after 40, plus having had a complete hysterectomy.
but damn...i swear its definitely better! i know my body and what i like and dont like. i know what works and what doesn't for others, and if not i ask them. no inhibitions left.
anyway...that's my story and i'm sticking to it!
