During the 'down' times....

I can think of one girl that has be come a friend and that i like to be somewhat of a light to my darkness. I just don't know if she would care for me like i would her...

I'll be your friend :) I know how you feel. In '06 I was in a crappy relationship, the only grandparent I ever knew passed away, six months later my dad passes away, and on top of all that, I gained a lot of weight!

Hmmm xbox live...i'll add you when i actually turn on my 360. the ps3 has got me hooked.

SpongeBob 75 (Cute handle! lol): There is no way you will be occupying all your time 24/7. Yes, do the above and keep yourself busy most of the time. However, there will be times when you do want to be alone. I don't know about anyone else, but to keep oneself busy non-stop would be exhausting! Those times you need to reflect on what went wrong and how you can make things better the next time around. Yes, it is hard as hell and probably one of the worse "pains" we all have to endure, but it will go away. Unfortunately, it is part of the process/mourning of the loss.

If it were meant to be you wouldn't be feeling/experiencing what you are now. So just focus on yourself and making yourself a better person (for you and your next relationship).

Best,

I did all those things on your list, but I did something important. I got a cat.

Yes, she was gone, but so was her cat and 2 dogs. I miss the animals more than I did her after she was gone.

I couldn't agree with you more. We have this selfish and insane tendency to put too much into something we want, and ultimately if it fails, we feel that we have. Even if we have, it's like falling at the skating rink as a kid. Would you just lay there and let yourself be ran over and endlessly hurt? Or get the heck up and make a move? Better to be busy than to not and just whine. Not good for the charactor, or the soul.
