| Slow Dancing In The Sand Posted: 6/29/2008 8:48:36 AM | If I close my eyes I feel the ocean breeze The crash of the waves from the salty seas Our toes in the sand as the tide rolls in The sweet smell of you blowing in the wind The stars in the sky twinkle with light As the full moon shines deep into the night My arms around you, your arms around me The fairytale love and what we could be Swaying back and forth with a loving embrace The warmth in your eyes and smile on your face Holding you close dancing cheek to cheek The softness of your skin as our lips slowly meet All time would stop all across the land Just for you and I slow dancing in the sand | |

| I sit here tonight Posted: 6/29/2008 9:02:08 AM | I sit here tonight Thinking of you A tear in my eye Alone and blue A love I lost A love I let go The hidden feelings I was afraid to show I loved you then I love you now One day I’ll move on But I don’t know how I miss your smile The warmth in your heart The thoughts of you Still tear me apart If I could turn back time And go back to that day I’d say all the things That I needed to say I’ll never forget The way you made me feel My love for you It was so real | |

| poems by an Angel x Posted: 6/29/2008 3:57:38 PM | Peaceful Slumber
O darling gentle sleep come unto me so that I may rest awhile like a child with thee, safe in the comfort of thine strong arms and sweet breath, that I may drift deeply without thought or memory as in death, gone willingly to who knows where led on, without worry or care, wrapped in your softness as if in heaven itself, afforded to one even without riches or wealth, carried, as if on the wings of a butterfly O distant gentle sleep such as this, come to me just once more before I die.

| poems by an Angel x Posted: 6/29/2008 4:07:26 PM | Summer Declared !
I knew that summer had now come not by the calendars figure one, or by the pansies nodding heads peeping out from flower beds, nor by the fledglings fleeing nests, or by the way the villagers dressed, or salads tender leaves on plates, or by the annual village fetes, nor yet by daises on the lawn or daylight at the crack of dawn, But summer was declared when I did spy..... on gentle breeze a butterfly !

| poems by an Angel x Posted: 6/29/2008 4:15:52 PM | Thank You.....
Those words spoken from the heart are meant for you, Just little words those two, those words that can sum up the grattitude of a lifetime or, one simple deed, more than any other those are the words we need, they make every thing we do worthwhile, bring a tear to the eye or to our mouths a smile, so, for all the big things and the little things you thought had passed me by, once again just to you I say Thank You.

| poems by an Angel x Posted: 6/29/2008 6:28:55 PM | Winters Magic
As I looked out of the window at fields all covered in snow, the air was exceptionally still and the moon cast a magical glow, the heaven was filled with stars In a sky the deepest of blue, frosty hedgerows and trees sparkled when across the scene a ghostly creature flew, with the grace of an angel he glided in a robe of pearly white down, his wings spread out before me silently, he circled around, suddenly his journey was halted as he settled in the nearest of trees and made his way towards my window along Icy branches with the greatest of ease, our eyes met for the briefest of moments as my hand stroked his soft feathered head, then with a screech he continued his journey whilst I, holding this memory forever... climbed silently back into bed.
x My own Illustration for this poem shows the *Snowy Owl*in the moonlit scene, If you would like a copy of this, or any poems or my art work, please let me know x

| poems by an Angel x Posted: 6/30/2008 2:56:29 PM | One More Miracle
The first winter season had just begun and looked dull and bleak in the light of the sun, God looking down decided that without any colour the earth looked flat, bare branches and soil he could see all around autmn gold fading fast lay in heaps on the ground, He'd given flowers and scent all the year through so now what was needed was somthing quite new, He went back to the drawing board once more to create and came up with the pure white exquisite snowflake, millions and billions and no two the same falling from heaven in silence they came, he sent them to earth one at a time layer upon layer of true purity so fine, O what a wonder it is to behold a glistening mantel so soft and so cold, all that is touched has a magical glow one more miracle from God..... .....this one we call snow.
x Its the simplest of things we have ben blessed with, that we somtimes take for granted.

Even when expected is hard Hard to accept Hard to deal with Hard coming to terms with Hard to acknowledge Hard to speak of Hard to confront Hard to cope with
But easy to loath and despise.

| poems by an Angel x Posted: 6/30/2008 4:54:28 PM | Roman Treasure.
Nettles growing nettles creeping nettles all their secrets keeping, hiding things from times gone by keeping them from prying eye, personal Items, household things, rags from paupers, riches from kings, hidden within their stinging depths holding back unwanted steps, from corners of forgotten fields to city wasteland this plant yields, so if you have then not a care put your hand in if you dare, or gather with a blade and glove to make the brew we british love, with properties to make us well its secrets then it just might tell, from pompous life in ancient Rome these shores now taken as its home so, dont cut it down just let it stay to heal or keep intruder at bay, this wondreous plant is not a weed but botanical herb that we all need, It cures all things from which we ail from indigestion to looking pale, so take a tip from ancient Rome and if its doing no harm let well alone !

Winter =====
Outside the tree grey skeleton stands, Awaiting life on boughing hands, In winter's depth there's nowt to do, So I dream of summer, Laughter, You

| Some poems Posted: 6/30/2008 6:11:41 PM | I wrote this almost 20 years ago- seems to fit this theme-
Childhood Memories
Apple blossoms heavy on the bough Berries juicy and plump on the ground This is the spring of my youth
Summers swimming and biking hard Tending to even garden rows Sweating
Fall weddings in autumn leaves Going back to school and work Seeing friends and missing others
Snow falling like powder puffs Hearing it crunch under skis Freezing

| Some poems Posted: 6/30/2008 6:24:55 PM | Love as an Artist
Ode to the end The beginnning, the end Of parts of what may be What is to come For now is peace And chaos to come Well done Unbitten yet the apple The core of what happens Taste of sweet flesh Come of what may Be forever

Wanting each breeze gentle as it came; it leaves Holding love in two soft hands Letting go ; loves again Deepest desire painted lips Heart of fire Soft curves of hips Emotional storms Embellished soul Yearns to live Loves to glow Within afire Without desire Bluest of skies Inside she hides Smile of one Living life Alone~

| Some poems Posted: 6/30/2008 6:54:25 PM | A thought , asking life For a little piece Of what others seem to have I think I have it too I just can't find it Floating in chaos With no one near What truths be set And which to be broken Those born of frustration Yields to the fates unknown | |

| Some poems Posted: 7/2/2008 3:40:11 PM | Perfect Afternoon
Theres a lazy old dog by the cottage door where the little one sleeps in her pram, and the kitchens filled with freshly baked cakes and rows of straberry jam, there are kittens asleep on the rocking chair and bread set to rise on the hearth, geraniums on the window sill and lavender lines the path, Its a glorious summers afternoon the household chores are all done, sitting on the back step with a cup in my hand Im making the most of the sun.
The hen and her chicks peck around at my feet the air, filled with the humming of bees, whilst the worn patched quilt strung over the line shifts gently in the breeze, I hear wood pigeon cooing in the barn close by and water running over stones in the brook, a battered straw hat is shading my eyes as with a sigh I open my book, In the distance I hear the church clock chime One, two and three, the old dog rises, and baby stirs now what shall we have for our tea ?
