Not quite yet but unless we can somehow stop it, it'll be very soon . If Bush goes into Iran all those silly people who thought Iraq was a real war will easily defend that decision also. I hope people will finally wake up and use thier heads for a minute. I started a thread about the Draft in this same page and what worries me the most is how many decent kids will be thrown out to the wolves to die in another pointless greed war. | |

He graduated in the upper echelon of his class,became a U.S. Navy Ensign,and was selected to work with the planning and development of the first nuclear powered submarines. He was placed on the staff of Admiral Hyman Rickover as a junior officer,and received credit and praise for his diligent work in the area of nuclear power. Can King Georgie Porgie II, the current twice fradulently "elected"
resident of that big house at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, even spell the word "nuclear" ??? Doubtful. He would probably spell it : "NOOKLIER".
Rest assured,no dummy can even begin to darken the door of Annapolis,West Point,or The Air Force Academy..much less graduate in the upper tier of his class academically without being highly intelligent and very diligent, too. No,he wasn't a "C" student like someone else we all know....and Daddy had no influence for him to be handed a degree on a silver platter,either. Carter served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War period,and was not a...uh....ahem... draft dodger. Not bad for a country boy, peanut farmer from the tiny town of Plains, Georgia. Next time you hear that Southern drawl,or think he is not intelligent, remember that he highly intelligent,but is also now pushing 84 years old ! I am sure we all might not sound too bright at age 84 if we live to get there ! Besides,Jummy Carter is respected all over the world,and is welcomed in many countries as a guest of honor, because of his status as an ex-President,and his humanitarian work,and his stance for individual human rights. Oh, did I mention that he is also the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize Winner ? Wonder if 'ol King Georgie Porgie will be respected and welcomed in other countries after he leaves office ? Now the man has the biggest pair of balls of anyone to stand up to the knuckleheads in the Middle East by having the courage to talk to them even when Bushboy tried to stop him. Now that took guts. The guy has the guts to do what's right and say what's right. The "sweater" speech took courage too because he told the truth. He was by far the smartest president to be in office during my lifetime. I salute James E. Carter who will go down in history as a leader and a man of honor.
Carter served our country with honor. Bushboy was an AWOL coward.
Carter has lived out the values I believe in strongly: honor, duty, loyalty and courage.

I have met Jimmy Carter over 20 years ago and several times since.He was extremely smart as long as we talk about what is called book sense here, but common sense eludes him then and now.Miss Lillian used to have to go out and bring him out of the rain.
Miss Lillian used to tell people that Jimmy got the book sense and Billy got the common sense.LOL.He has written several books that are filled with historical inaccuracies.Things that have been contradicted by eye-witnesses.Jimmy is no saint, he has his agenda also. | |

Oh great, the best we can come up with is a doctrine which originates in the concept of "the King can do no wrong."
The suit may be meritless, but it continues to concern me when in the 3rd millenium we continue to rely on laws developed to protect some 13th Century British Aristocrat. Reminds me of the time when a judge in small town Mississippi (a town in which lynchings were common in my lifetime) asked me why "Lord Mansfield's Rule didn't bar my suit." To which I responded, "Because he's f**king dead. Been f**king dead for over 200 years." Cost me 500 bucks and a couple of nights in jail, but if asked the same question by this same man I'd probably give the same answer. This same judge had no problem with a group of Kluxers pulling a 19 year old black man from a jail cell, shooting him in the head and throwing him into the Pearl River. He probably cited Lord Mansfield's rule in that one too.
Please, in 21st Century USA, don't cite any 13th century British Aristocratic crap. It really weakens your argument. | |

YES we did. The "spin" is weather or not those who were in the know believed the factuality of their information. True or not those at pearl were not even warned to be alert. And anyone who was ever in the military knows how the brass loves an alert. I didn't BUY any of the info I got. It comes from reading newspapers and listening to the radio news. Mostly before the rightwing bought all the airspace. Now the press are simply the lapdogs of the administration. I am well aware the government spys on all of us. I know I sound harsh but look at history. The queen of england is a german. Don't you smell a rat there? I believe in SOME conspiracies because the chain of events is too complex to be random or only known by one person.
I know I come off harsh but seriously look at the last 30 years and what has happened in our own government. Just a coincidence that the most powerful DEMEOCRATS were given the anthrax packs? Bravo! Excellent posts. Thank you for telling it like it is. I also appreciate your bringing to everyone's attention Jimmy Carter's bravery. He has some serious balls to do some of the things he has said and done. It takes great courage to be honest in a dishonest world. And it took guts to go to TMI and find out what was going on. Yes, Wussboy Bush the AWOL coward would have been running away like it has been all these years. Bushboy has been running away from reality while trying to prove its manhood. I'll never forget the Mission Accomplished thing with the flight suit--what an embarrassment and an insult to our military! Best of all, Carter has the balls to talk to the knuckleheads in the Middle East even when he was told not to.
