The bush has no weeds lovey...it's always well maintained and trimmed to perfection! The only garden here that is already well groomed...although quite lonely

Posted: 5/26/2008 6:00:43 PM | BEAUTIFUL weekend we've had! WOW! Ok everyone, Cedar Point plans so far are:
1) Depending on the number of people going, we are probably going to carpool with several vehicles unless we actually get enough people to rent a vehicle (bus).
2) Sleeping arrangements: I'm thinking that the most affordable option would be to camp out in tents. Several people already confirmed to be going own larger tents, just depend on if you're comfy enough sleeping outdoors/in tents with nearly strangers from all over the state! 
3) There is the two-day pass for 50 something dollars available online until June 15 for purchase of any dates through the season. (If you need the link, email me at Hurtha1@AOL.com) Otherwise if we get a group of 15 or more, they offer group discounts. People staying at the campground and the hotels are allowed an early entrance into the park by one hour. (This was a really cool treat for us this weekend, we rode 2x on a ride and ended up at the front of the Millenium Force line before most people even got in!) I have a season pass, so whoever I ride with will also have free parking with my Platinum Pass (also available online for $150 per person, all Cedar Fair parks across the country) .
4) If anybody knows how to make my Cedar Point trip post a FORUM PARTY POST please either tell me how to do it or feel free to take the steps necessary, just be sure to let me know so that I can keep track of the number of people.
5) We can either all decide to wear whatever we want to,the same color shirt, or we can do a group t-shirt option so that we will be able to find each other more easily. It should be warm enough for swim wear for the females, so white t-shirts should NOT be an issue, besides, we will try to decorate them if we decide to go that route! I noticed that the groups of people with bright colors on were much easier to see amongst the thousands... (Trust me, I went through MAJOR trauma this weekend when I couldn't find my children and my ex-hubs at the park!, It took me nearly 3 hours to find them! Wasted a TON of my time, I was very !)
6)I live about 20 minutes south of Grand Rapids. According to my GPS system, it was supposed to take us 4 hours and 2 minutes to get there, but somebody that was driving was doing about 80 the entire way there, so it took less time, even with bathroom/coffee/food/smoke breaks. I left with ¾ tank of gas which got us to Ohio and we filled up/topped off just before we got to the turnpike, and I got home with ¼ tank left.

Go the the red thread above where this one is, called 'Michigan Singles Events'. Once in, you will see a tab at the upper left that says 'Create New Party Thread'.
Just list all the details and dates like you already have, on your thread.
THEN, email Forum_Moderator and ask permission for it to become a party thread.
(This is for newbie hosts, once you have had a party, you don't have to ask permission again.) It takes 1-2 days, in the meantime it'll show up where this one does now.
OR, you could email Forum_Moderator and ask that your ORIGINAL thread on this subject be moved to the 'Michigan Singles Events' as a party thread.

I' m three hours from cedar Point I think..Saginaw. I have a malibu that's really good on gas and could drive, Hodge and I could take two other people with us.
I wouldnt mind sleeping with strangers as long as they dont think they are sharing my pillow or man ....ok...I'm sory, I had to throw some humor in there This sure sounds like fun to me...let's make it soon...before it gets too hot to be really fun and every one is gone for vacations.
Linda....it's a good thing you are a pro at this because everything you just said sounds greek to me
