Posted: 6/9/2008 3:43:58 PM | It may be school holidays, but how many other idi....oh..er.. sane, sober, normal, people go camping on the beach in the middle of winter? Oh that's right....... NSW School holidays are on too.
OK, get in early with a permit, and some of us will arrive on the Friday to reserve a large area for the PofFers. I'll be bringing a large (10x20foot) tarp to cover the kitchen/lounge area. Individual tents can then pop up around this.
Babsbaby, as with all our events, the more the merrier. You may be arriving alone  , but you'll be leaving  with a bunch of new friends you'll want to see again.

As you are the newbie, you are the one who has to run into town to get supplies
... nah, only joking mate, everyone caters for their own and we have a large bbq plate that we put over the fire for cooking (bbq style) and if you are lucky , Debnco might give you a lesson or 2 in campoven cooking  | |

For display purposes only, perhaps we should go with ya and help you pick out the camping gear at the camping expo you are going to (insert sun icon, POF dont have one)

Posted: 6/12/2008 11:46:25 AM | Hmm, the weather in Atherton is very similar to Brisbane and my dealer up there sells wood heaters as well...and lots of them by the sound of things....sooo looks like you girls may need to rug up a little or head to Bali as the weather is great there this time of year | |

Posted: 6/20/2008 5:28:13 AM | Unfortunately, due to an unforseen happening, I wont be able to attend the weekend, which, I must say, I am very sorry about.
However, as the event has been created, I have arranged for Ricici to take over the event for me so the event will still happen.
I do sincerely apologize but I also know that Ricici will do a great job.

Posted: 6/22/2008 2:40:44 AM | OKay, so I'm now leading this trip. Go easy with me, I'm still learning.
So far, we have 15 people attending, plus 2 kids about 14 coming with gregtcb.
Debnco, are you coming with kids?
Just because the nights are cold, doesn't mean the days will be. Today was lovely and warm, as long as you got in the sun, and out of the wind. We'll have a whole beach to hide on, so come on all of you. At night we can huddle around the fire in our driz-a-bones, or sleeping bags. If you dress warmly, it won't matter what the weather throws at us.
Could you please confirm on page 1, and also post whether you are alone, with another adult or two, and if you are bringing kids along. The more the merrier.
How many fishing prizes will we need?
