I would love to go , but not enough notice, beside`s it`s winter, and for a bloke who usualy go`s to the N T it bloody cold this time of the year. Posted: 7/1/2008 4:57:44 AM | sorry guys i have to bail out on this trip as having major issues with steering in car. till i finish finding and fixing the problem it wont be leaving the driveway. 
sorry for the short notice but thought i had the problem fixed and it has come back with a vengance making it unsafe to drive.

I was hoping it wouldn't come to this, but I also have to pull out of this one. Due to not being allocated enough shifts at work lately to meet my financial requirements for this trip and living expences, my only choice is to work next weekend therefore ruling me out for this trip.
I am truly disappointed I won't get to meet all of you guys as I was really looking forward to the camp. Thankyou very much to Eremophila and Merchans for the offer of a lift, I would have taken it for sure.
I'll be showing off my exceptional culinary skills next trip I can organise myself better on, so I'll make it all up to yas ; ). Have a great camp!

Its a real bugger when the boss can dictate our social life, but until we all win lotto thems the breaks.
Looking forward to catching up on the next one.
Funlovin, don't dob on others. TypicalBloke has a genuine reason for not coming. After all, who would NOT want to be camped at Inskip Point next weekend.

Posted: 7/2/2008 11:49:19 PM | good on ya funlovin61, now you have let the cat out of the bag  suzuki is too unsafe to be driving so have to find the cause of the fault to minise the risk to others.
as for the prizes i had offered i would need to meet with someone to hand them over so that they go to the lucky fisher people.
give me a fish and i will eat for a day , teach me to fish and i will eat for a lifetime.
you all have fun and enjoy the trip. dont drink too much (or making 3 am phonecalls intoxymacated) am envious . | |

The rest of you, we have 14 people attending, some bringing kids and guests. When I looked up Inskip Point camping site, there were still over 2000 vacancies for this weekend. So anyone else, feel free to come along.
I'll be there Friday afternoon, with a large 10x20 silver tarp put up, with space for tents around it.
Now that the sun has come out, it will be a great weekend.

Posted: 7/9/2008 12:45:45 AM | | hey all i will be going up to inskip on thursday night so i will be spotting a good site for us all and will put signs in the trees. Follow the signs and your there it will be the furtherest camp site on the right hand side of the bituman road. I have done a mystry parcel got cricket set and veach volley ball net in and bought a new fishing rod for the lettle feller. Look forward to seeing you all there, I am bringing a few friends as well this will be an interesting weekend. Posted: 7/9/2008 2:12:29 AM | Hi Chris. Bring the tarp. I don't use all the poles for mine, and we might make a wind break if nothing else with it.
Helen, glad you've recce'd a good campsite. I'll get there Friday Arvo. Furtherest campsite on Right hand side of bitumen road.
I'll be listening on UHFChannel 18 if anyone gets lost, as mobile phone coverage is not so good.
It'll be a great weekend.
