would like a radio/MP3 player installed. Can you get Sat Radio on bikes ?

very dangerous... you need to be able to hear what is going on around you.

I think MP3 players and such should even be outlawed when walking. I cannot tell you the amount of uni students just walk in front of my car at the uni or anyhwere else for that matter...

It is already illegal to drive a car with headphones on so why would it be a good idea to ride a bike with them?

Harley riders claim they use loud mufflers (or lack thereof) so people will hear them coming.....

It is also important to hear as well as be heard.

(I have rode bikes since I was a preteen... starting with dirtbikes and moving on to cruisers.. sportbikes and most in between.)

I was going to blast you Edmonfella on his MP3 thing, but re-read, my apologies for bad thoughts directed your way. Now I will admit to riding with my MP3 player, however, I ride 'old school' no windshield and open face cruising helmet. The wind rushing by the straps of my helmet will make you deaf so it is a MUST to wear hearing protection, so, in addition to the custom ear guards, I had them add speakers.
the only thing I don't hear so well is normal conversation, but normal ear plugs have the same effect.(while cruising low speed around town - not often - I wear no ear protection or MP3 player)

Now then.........
AntiElvis, yes you can get Sat Radio on a bike - specifically Harley Touring bikes. As for other brands , I will be honest and say I am not sure
as for your budget...... A co-worker bought a new Night Train this summer for $20000 so depending on what you want, they are out there.
If you want Harley, and want new, but aren't too concerned about possible warranty issues, try swinging out to Camrose on one of you road trips - House of Thunder will beat any one else in Alberta on price, but there may be issues regarding warranty if you don't take it back to Camrose. - want the full story - email me.
Other than that, figure out what you want, and look around, lots for sale depending on where you look.
once out there, be safe, and have fun.

I brought my BMW back to the dealer and got my money back yesterday. I broke down and bought a Softail. I get it in 3 weeks.
