I cannot understand turning a car stereo up to such a volume that it drowns out everything. I don't believe the type of music is important. I love music. I'm an ex-professional rock musician. I love music,at times, very loud...but NOT in my car. I love reclining in a chair,or on the floor, listening with eyes closed. You cannot relax this much while driving. In your car,the music should be background music...it should never take away any of your concentration.

women putting on their make up behind the wheel...

ppl changing clothes behind the wheel....

ppl receiving a form or oral behind the wheel ...

need me to continue??

stop being so picky

Well,folks,
These may all be a moot points soon, as gas prices force either the loud cars or the unwilling listeners off the road.

"moot" points or not, gas prices will most likely force "drivers" off the road whether or not they want to unwillingly listen to "loud" music or not....I guess it's a "moot" point afterall. So, who has the "last" word on this subject since it is now a "moot" point?

Personally I call that selfish. I do NOT want to hear bad rap, rnb, trance, disco, techno and the like cranked up loud so that EVERYONE can hear it. Not everyone likes their music, simple. Same goes for people who turn their music up so loud on their ear/headphones on the bus and I end up having to listen to their crap music for the rest of the journey (duration- 1 hour). I don't turn my music up so everyone suffers listening to my classical or pop music... I'm surprised they haven't damaged their ear drms yet... O_o

i blast my stereo sometimes.....mainly to shut the other people up in the car because you want to concentrate on the road. But I blast it when a good song everyone loves comes on and wants to sing along and stuff. It's quite fun
