i've had girlfriends who were not jealous and were .. less passionate .. in fact they were pretty damn cold.
i'd rather have a jealous girlfriend than one who didn't care ! | |

You choose your partner to experience life with you,that does not mean you also choose to own them,smother them or suck the soul out of them.But that is as i stated just my opinion.Maybe people can live their lives with a possessive partner,i know i couldnt. | |

A jealous/possesive partner does not equal love. Caring and trust blah blah blah are different things.
Being 'jealous' or possesive does not mean you care. Trusting, loyalty, being honest and talking, blah blah blah means you care. Honestly. And NOT being possesive does not equal being frigid or cold.
Some people can be very passionate and sexual and caring but not have a jealous bone in their body. Doesn't mean they would not stand up and "fight" for the one the person they love .

In a "vanilla" relationship possesiveness would equate to unhappiness I'd imagine.
In a D/s relationship I would say that one half of the pair would need to be possesive, otherwise it wouldn't work!  | |

I believe if you, as I do, remain a mystery wrapped in an enigma than controlling the biatcchhh is easy.
Seriously though my new partner when I find her, can do whatever she wants while i'm at work, as long as me teas on the table and the gaffs clean when I get in - I couldn't give a rat's chuff.... Now thats trust! | |

What amazes me is how often it happens in some very disturbing ways. It's only May and I've spoken to four friends this year of both sexes who are frankly unable to live their lives as they did before they met their partner.

I don't mind the occasional flash of jealousy and TBH that is something I'm guilty of myself. I can't be doing with possesiveness at all though.
My first husband was incredibly possessive, wanting to control whom I saw and what friends I had. It was the death of our relationship as I felt like a naughty child most of the time. | |

if you get jealous when your partner is talking/laughing with the opposite sex. you have a problem!
if they are deliberatly flirting to wind you up they are your problem!

Posted: 8/18/2008 10:19:59 AM | As a kid growing up at home in a large family ,,,my father was jealous to the extreme!!... and had to control everyone !!! poor mom was`nt able to buy underwear for herself without my father watching her every move.......she was NEVER allowed to answear the door , be it the milk man or anyone else ...
And the controlling drove me crazy as a kid !!...he would pick my younger brother and myself up at school ....I found it so embarrasing !!! ...also I hated it because I was`nt able to play with the other guys any of the games...
At 14 ,... I just could`nt take it any more and ran away !!!..... NO love lost !!!! .... I never went back for many years , and even then it was for a meal, and my stupid oldest brother decided it would be a great time for him to announce he was going top marry the girl next door !!!! we were all sitting waiting for dad to start serving the plates infront of him... he had a royal fit and brought his fist down on all the dinner plates in front of him !!!!..... 12 plates smashed !!!,,,,, I did`nt stick around ,,I just got up and left !!!!.... Ironicly my mom worshipped my father .... he came before the kids !!!! | |
