| NASA's Phoenix Mars Lander Posted: 5/29/2008 7:56:45 PM | We all watched here at my house and applauded when it landed safely. Great coverage and realistically, for space programs to move forward they need the exposure for future funding. I was disappointed that there was no sound - although it could have been "the sound of silence" and that the lander doesn't move horizontally, just vertically. There are of course sound reasons as they search for signs of past life.
My grandfather had seen too many new things in his life and when they went to the moon, he didn't believe it. It was fun to get into debates with him.
We need to keep "going where no man dares to go" and pushing boundaries. | |
