But has anyone got the feeling that they have to 'work' or 'motivate' to make themselves happy.
Today, I felt absolutely bored, I slept for 11 hours (after working my garden yesterday). I decided to just make things happen to get myself happy, go out for run and fix my computer, etc.

Mr Benn , I'm so HAPPY to know your still alive. I loved your show. Are you still living on Festival Rd ? I'm a little concerned that your bored though. That doesn't make any sense. You have that magic costume shop at the end of your road where you can be anything you want. My particular favourite was the cowboys and Indians episode where you were a cowboy. I thought it was great how you managed to outfox the Indians at hide and seek. Your a legend in my eyes Mr Benn. Your son Tony's a bit of a tw* though at times,although well meaning. | |

And I think a lot of the reason is due to everyone trying to sound "fun and lively", I could have equally said I'm exceedingly happy and can't stop grinning after spending an afternoon playing "dragon and princess" with my 4yr old god daughter but I thought that sounded a bit too sickly sweet. | |

Are you yourself happy, do you feel that your life is pretty good or do you think people have a right to be depressed and negative about life or do they just need a kick up the you know what !
Today I am exstatic. My first grandchild was born and mother and child are doing great. I looked into her eyes and once again I knew what my purpose in life is.

happy 24/7 kind of people always strike me as being a bit neurotic ,like its all a front , one wrong word and their whole façade will crumble .
I recon people are very perceptive at picking up on false happiness , so my advice if your miserable dwell in it ,don't hide it .

But since Ive only had one date so far Ill tell you........
I think happy go lucky was a rebellion against all the miserable & voilence on TV eg Eastenders portays suffering as the best form of entertainment....then you turn over & theres some autopsy being done on a body in a morgue etc.
But I did find how she was so happy all the time a bit unbearable. Im not happy lots but considering how much is going wrong Id say Im holding up very well & am happy considering the circumstances | |

Posted: 7/12/2008 9:16:27 AM | Film maker Mike Leigh (a God!) has released his latest film recently, called Happy-Go-Lucky it tells the story of a primary school teacher whose infectious nature touches all those around her. Apparently Mike made it as an anti-miserabilist film; he believes that despite serious problems people need to be more positive and need to focus less on the negatives in life.
Do you agree with him, is life really so bad these days or is it partly an invention of the papers who like to dwell on the bad and less on the good. Are you yourself happy, do you feel that your life is pretty good or do you think people have a right to be depressed and negative about life or do they just need a kick up the you know what !
Despite all I do not think I am happy at the moment.
What makes me happy are the finished tasks and I do not have enough strength, energy and maybe reasons to finish mine.
I need a push up ( somebody to literally kick my ass ) and I do not have it. It doesn't come.
I can do blah blahing day and night but behind all the crap there is a job to be done, there must be improvement and there must be a better life.
Instead of facing the crap, I am dreaming of moving to Monaco. | |
