| Tethered Piles Advice !! Posted: 5/24/2008 4:31:14 PM | me thinks a rubber tyre may be useful for a couple of weeks seriously though....best of luck and you take care | |
|
| Tethered Piles Advice !! Posted: 5/24/2008 4:33:39 PM | | It depends if they close the wound up or leave it open but just ask for morphine and you will be able to walk around for days. | |
|
| Tethered Piles Advice !! Posted: 5/24/2008 4:35:23 PM | | And dont use anything like a rubber ring this can inflat and make the wound or area around is worse if it does get sore to sit then ask you gp for a medical cushion a bit like memory foam but for your ass!!! | |

| Tethered Piles Advice !! Posted: 5/25/2008 3:46:39 AM | | My mate had this done, and he was in a bit of extreme discomfort for quite some time...I am finding it difficult to recall, I think my mind has blanked out most of the details of what he told me. He said they were banded off and he couldn't walk or sit for a few days, basically just sat up in bed...I think...anyway good luck and expect pain, as if you didn't already!;) | |

| Tethered Piles Advice !! Posted: 5/25/2008 4:02:53 AM | Mac...............not you again lol. Tethered piles is better than a Haemorroidectomy. Ive had that done, they ectomied inside and out and it was like shi**ing glass for weeks. Lots of roughage, water and a good friend to put cream on your botty afterwards lol.
Mac, if you need a good friend, gimme a buzz but dont tell big sis......

I'm going into hospital next thursday to have my piles tethered , does anyone know exactly how this works and how the procedure is carried out ? Will i be walking like a pigeon after ?
Yes. Because its a red hot poker style steel rod that you'll get tethered with.
Good luck. | |

| Tethered Piles Advice !! Posted: 5/28/2008 3:13:59 AM | Hi Mac - well just seen an item on This Morning - apparently you need to ask for the Halo operation - mind you your halo is probably up your ar*e already its slipped so much! | |

| Tethered Piles Advice !! Posted: 5/28/2008 3:34:03 AM | I had Rubber Band Ligation done in Feb. Under General anasthetic - was ok...never been put to sleep before - other than by boring sex -or very relaxing stroking !
I didn't shit for days - ate very little so little would come out - they gave me codiene pain killers which cause consterpation - so could be seen as a blesseing !
In the end u have to shit - so use salt water to bathe wounds - baby wipes to clean ur butt - eat plenty of high fibre foods that are soft - lentil soup & bananas - I lived on - take lactulose to soften stools - drink plenty of water and relax when u need to shit !
The base of my****felt numb and was slightly painful to piss - called the Doc - but wasn't concerned and it passed !
To maintain - get some pile cream to reduce piles or proctofoam from ur GP - both useful if u take it up the Gary Glitter to help reduce friction.

| Tethered Piles Advice !! Posted: 5/28/2008 5:37:15 AM | friend had that after falling down and exclaiming they had burst....
think it was a rubber band that put up the bum and looped around the lumps and then the blood supply fails, they heal up and all drop off, he used to complain that his farts smelled of rubber, so maybe something stays up there ?

|
| Tethered Piles Advice !! Posted: 5/31/2008 4:09:29 PM | mac, before I explain in minute detail please don't worry. It'll hurt you less than it'll amuse the nurses.
It will begin with you putting on a pink dress, face down, ass up on a hard, cold hospital bed. We shall stirrup your legs and then basically tie string really tightly around your ass grapes and sit round drinking tea and pointing and laughing at you until they drop off in a bloody mess in your bed.
Then we shall send you home, most probably with a scalple and MRSI so you don't get the wrong impression.
It'll all be fine

| Tethered Piles Advice !! Posted: 6/1/2008 5:26:20 AM | There are several different operations for piles. In the usual operation, the swollen spongy pad that forms the pile is cut away. It is painful for 7–10 days afterwards. A newer operation, called ‘stapling’, involves cutting away a 2 cm strip of the lining of the rectum and joining the cut edges with a special stapler. People seem to recover quicker from ‘stapling’ than from the ordinary operation. It is not yet a common operation in the UK ( obviously that is where you are from ) but it is popular in the rest of Europe. Although it is less painful than the ordinary operation.
It depends on the methods used. It sounds like they may just laser yours, depending on the severity.
OP did they tell you what method they were using ?
|
| Tethered Piles Advice !! Posted: 6/1/2008 3:48:30 PM | Is there any chance that we can have an explanation as to why this operation was not required?
After all, it seems odd that such a drastic procedure would not be needed, unless the piles healed themselve Try reading the posts ...........the clues in msg 59!!

|
| Tethered Piles Advice !! Posted: 6/1/2008 4:02:58 PM | So, the piles shrank from a size needing an operation to a size not needing an operation.........in a week? Where did it state a week ? A week ago is when I posted not when I was last seen by a doctor....this was weeks previously. (Cant believe i'm having a copy n paste on a piles thread )
Will I read about this in The Lancet or in Ripley's Believe It Or Not? Hmmmm trust issues ........not everyone lies honest !! We have an excellent councellor who posts on here I believe, maybe she can help you ?

| Tethered Piles Advice !! Posted: 6/2/2008 1:14:45 AM | mac... what jamieluke is actually trying to say is that s/he also has piles but is far too embarrassed to actually go to a doctor and is absolutely not going to admit it here on the forums and would therefore really like some advise on why your piles disappeared so quickly so that s/he can apply the same treatment.
how cool am i for working that out?

| Tethered Piles Advice !! Posted: 6/2/2008 1:38:45 AM | I am glad all is well in the south. I was quite worried for you.
All the girls would have been devestated if your gorgeous bod would have been damaged in any way.
As for me, I would not want you to be in any pain, if I would ever get a chance of groping your behind.
Should I bring weetabix instead of flowers? x
