I always wait for a response if they haven't written back; I don't pester people.

I figure if she's in the "game", then she'll bounce the ball back to me.

If not, I ain't gonna lose sleep over it.

Besides that, it's always a good thing to have several friends and/or potentials.

I guess the only thing that makes the whole issue of read, but no delete, is that while it seems to indicate "not interested", it certainly doesn't indicate why the individual is "not interested". I mean it could be anything from that person being incredibly busy, and overwhelmed with the sheer volume of messages received, which can be a problem for the new fish in the pond, to something more akin to the person is wanting to focus their attention on one fish. So while no one "owes" anyone else an explanation, it would/could clear up being contacted more than once by some one you don't want to deal with.

On occasion I've received a second email which I don't mind. I don't view them as being desperate but interested - or more likely that they didn't realize they messaged me the first time. It happens.

Twice now, I received angry emails and that I don't understand. I've sent plenty of messages to people without receiving a response and would never think about getting angry about it. I'm a great guy. It's their loss if they don't see it.

If I do not get a response to the first email I send I move on, obviously the personisn't interested or they would respond.

I'm with you on this one. Ladies, you get one shot. That's not me being mean, that's just the way it is. Writing is my craft, so I put a lot of hard work into my emails, and I try to give a girl my best (or as best as I can do if someone doesn't have a lot of stuff on her profile--seriously, there's nothing more irritating to me than seeing a girl on here that I find attractive with a dearth of useful information on her profile).

If I don't get a response, then I assume you're not interested and I find someone who is.

Newbie weighing in here, just because this one strikes to my core.

I write. I write well. I write in full sentences. The things that I write address specific issues, answer specific questions, and illuminate, humor, and engage the person I am writing to or about.

Sometimes, however, to get someones attention in this age of instant everything, I have to say it more than once.

WTH? Two or three notes via electrons & photons do not make a stalker.

Becoming a stalker requires a lot of effort, time, investment, and low-quality fast-food.

I have lots more to say, but I'll quit for now. Wouldn't want to waste anyone's time with one or two more sentences.

If they are back to back and w/in a short time frame I wonder the why. My experience has been that the guys who will bombard your email with message after message are pretty much just saying the same thing over and over, including their phone number and proclaiming that they are sex gods.

If it's a sporadic note here and there, I figure they are like me and forgot they sent one awhile back. It's a numbers game and a lot of people message everyone in their local area. When I get the second email, it's likely the second pass on their search... and so on.

it may work with 1 out of 100....
worth the effort? Noooppppeee...

You send a msg ;

-she reads/deletes (Not interested)
-she doesn't delete but no reply either (She is lazy, can't even clean her inbox. Not interested)
-she sends an one liner. (Not interested, trying to be nice. )

-She sends an open ended reply, asking you questions within 2days (tops). (she is interested)

Not that hard really...
A Little common sense goes a long way...

I like having information before I respond or respond to see if I can get some information about the person. Maybe every time you e-mail you give her more info about yourself and show that your persistent. It's nice to have some idea who you are typing to.

I hardly ever get replies to my messages, it's ridiculous. I'm not one of those guys who just comes out with "you're hot, let's bone" or whatever the hell some retards do, I just hardly get replies.

Occasionally I do, and even rarer still, I get replies telling me they're not interested. WHICH I APPRECIATE! It's not that big of deal being turned down, but it is annoying (even a little insulting) being ignored.

I'm not one for nagging, but whatever works I guess.
