| Can I get a profile review please. Posted: 6/12/2008 12:36:34 AM | | I just wanted to add a couple of comments to your question. I think that your profile is a little dry & too serious, as I had a hard time understanding what you were trying to convey. You might also try changing the wording so it flows together better. If I were you, I would delete the part about the business not working out as some woman would take this as you're unsuccessful. Which doesn't necessarily mean this, but this is how it comes off. I would have liked to see a more "positive" & upbeat attitude in your profile. Finally, when I see that someone is separated & still married this is a real"turn-off" to me and I won't contact them. Sorry, but I believe in finishing something before starting something else. I hope that this helps you! | |

| Can I get a profile review please. Posted: 6/12/2008 4:22:26 PM | Rectrailrunner - Thanks for the advice and comments. I tried to change my little three word name thingy to better suit me. oldfashcouboy - your advice was greatly appreciated. I value honesty and your were definitely that. :)
I see what all of you in this forum have been trying to help me with. Your help has been fantastic. And unfortunately I had to agree with most of it. My grammar is disgusting. It feels so damn dishonest sometimes though because it isn't my words. My original thoughts are still there though so that helps. But still, doesn't it seems sort of fake when you have this much help? Is this profile still mine? Just my thoughts. Ltr all. ~Baldy.

| Can I get a profile review please. Posted: 6/12/2008 4:37:29 PM | veloise - Yeah all my pic pretty much suck. No camera. The pictures I have are from friends. Maybe I could draw a pic of myself? LOL! I'm getting a camera very soon.
smileforme49 - I've had my share of silly immature relationships and need to move past all that. That's why I'm being more serious in my profile. That's what I'm looking for.
Thanks for the advice both of you. ~Baldy.

| Better! A positive step in the right direction Posted: 6/12/2008 8:16:55 PM | Hey, "baldy" -
I LIKE the "heading" - those words do seem to describe you better! Once you get that camera and some awesome photos up there - you'll be halfway there. Great job!
I read your comment about "getting so much help that it may no longer seem like the authentic you". I disagree... a great book or any writing product doesn't make it to the bookshelf on the first draft, right? That's why there are re-writes and editors to review and enhance the work until it reaches the 'final product'. Humans, like a great piece of writing, are a PROCESS.
Keep a positive attitude - you're definitely getting there!

| Can I get a profile review please. Posted: 7/1/2008 9:43:09 PM | Liked and enjoyed your profile, though you sound just a trifle touchy/feely for me, but I cannot tell you how much I dislike your name. It is most unflattering, even if a person does happen to like bald guys. No one should be named Baldy. Like being named Big Nose! It is like putting your worst foot forward, and saying that your baldness is the most identifying characteric you have. I would certainly change it, if you want more people to take the time to click on your name.

| Can I get a profile review please. Posted: 7/2/2008 12:38:01 AM | The name thing, if you really have to call yourself baldy, you should explain it in some fashion in your profile. This would good because it could illustrate you can laugh at yourself and have a sense of humour. Like what you've said in previous posts. as it is your only attempt at humour
Relax! this is supposed to be painful. Er...I mean painless. Yeah that's it. LOL!
seems pretty lame to me.
