Be blunt with her. Tell her if she is not willing to help herself you see no reason why you should do it for her! Life is not handed on a plate to the vast majority and you are not her PA. I wouldn't wait til July to take the key back.... it's possible she has a copy stashed. I'd get the locks changed. This would hopefully be taken as a hint at the very least. As for loveing her flat.... so what? If it's not affordable then she shouldn't live there. And her birthday shouldn't matter if it's a choice between getting drunk or feeding her kids. She is living off your back and for whatever reason you are allowing it.

just came over to ask me to help them fill in a HB and CTB forms for her as a single mother on low income.

I think 'she does cleaning £8 an hour 10 hours perday cash in hand and 5 DAYS PER WEEAK! is the issue.. And they are Polish.. making it an even bigger issue. Woo!

Both men living with her (boyfriend and her brother) work as builders full time. She does cleaning at 8 per hour cash in hand for 10 hours per day, 5 days per week.

i dont know about helping theem out, i would be ratting them out...
benefit fraud is illegal.. and you helping them fill in forms could land you in trouble too...

im sure i have a 10 foot barge pole i could let you have a loan of somewhere...

How far would you go to help someone - at the cost of your own expenses, time etc?

I guess for me this would last a day or maybe a half a day

The think I hate the most is to depend on someone or someone depending on me.

For friends and loved ones I would go as far as was needed, cost and time would not be a consideration under right circs.

Oops my own emotional/mental well being would be my consideration in most cases if thats not effected then i'd do what had to be done.
