Pushing my hands through ground beef reminds me of movies like Saw, and I always envision my hands being cut up in a meat grinder and being sold at Safeway.
Handling eggs, make me think of those poor little birdy fetus' -- so basically I'm touching an abortion. *pukes*

it has been my experience that girls are afraid of a guy that can cook, bake, sew, and clean. What is wrong with that?
i think that's cool that you're able to do all of that....but.....i wouldn't want you to cook for me all of the time. i've never dated anyone that can cook, bake, and sew therefore i've been the one doing all of the cooking and stuff and stand firmly to the way that i am but if you'd like to share the cooking with big meals or even help me with the baking that would be great.
Share household chores.

I'll take care of the cars and the yard,
cool...someone that would actually take care of the yard while i get the cleaning done.
i've been living on my own for 3 yrs now, i've done all of the cooking, cleaning, sewing, ironing, yard work, and even working on my car with tuneups and oil changes and stuff like that but now i'm not able to do that. some people told me to give up on dating but that's another story.
a man that can't sew a button back on his shirt, cook a basic meal to feed himself and perform normal cleaning duties is a cripple.
it's not that they're a cripple, it would sound better if it was said as a handicap and just because they're not able to do all of the things that most women can do doesn't make them a bad person. i know quite a few guys that can't even boil water. | |

'm with Kyn on this one...fear has nothing to do with it....you are encroaching on my turf.
Put down the broom and back out of the kitchen slowly and no one will get hurt.
I am not a domestic deva, but the house is my domain. It makes me feel like I am not doing my job, if you are constantly doing things ahead of me. Weird I know, but it is who I am.
Now if you will do just the dishes, and wash the laundry....then we are good. Other than that, nope. And to be fair, you pick 2 chores you hate in the "man world" and I will do them. Just not shoveling snow...can't do that anymore with one arm
Any woman who won't let me in the kitchen would find herself broken up with by me on the spot because this is "(Halbailmans) Kitchen, Where food comes to life!" its either both of us cooking in a relationship (Optimal) or Me cooking and you keep out of this mans kitchen. | |

Those men always find women to take care of them who are looking to take care of a man - an easier match, since once they pair off they don't spend much quality time together (unless the beer's gone or the game's over). That's not a relationship...not to me anyway. But I don't knock it - some women like to wait on a man, and some men like to sit back and be waited on.
I've been living on my own for over 20 years...so I'm used to doing everything on my own, I'm more into the yardwork and less into the cleaning...and since a lot of men live alone, I assume they either get by or actually enjoy stuff like that...because they're in a space where they experience it.
Maybe us self sufficient types aren't in relationships because we don't need someone to either take care of or need to be taken care of, which makes us more able to wait longer and choose people for who they are, not what they can do for us. | |

I thought calling it a handicap would be an insult to self-sufficient folks everywhere in wheelchairs or dealing with other disabilities quite competently. 
If a man is an adult and he can't feed himself unless it comes in a To Go box or turn the knob on the washing machine, maybe he's not a bad person, but it begs the question -- who has been wiping his nose for him all this time? And why would I want to become the Kleenex?

Quite frankly I either didn't stay in those relationships or didn't form one. As for why you are still single, maybe you should reconsider the women you are approaching.
In case you haven't noticed, threads about helping with the housework tend to die rather quickly. Don't see a lot of men jumping in with "oh yeah, I love doing dishes". However, I do check out everyone one that does. | |

Haha, naw, I wouldn't be interested in a guy sitting there all the time watching football over his beer belly while guzzling the brews either, you mistunderstood me.
What I meant was, surely there are more than the two extremes of a cooker/cleaner/sewer/shopper guy on one end and a burping, farting beer-guzzling neanderthal at the other, no? Hence I asked the OP what sort of balance he had between his 'metro-side' and his 'guy-side', was all. I certainly wouldn't want a complete cave man, but nor would I want a dandified fop either....something in the middle would suit most I would think. A man who is capable of doing household chores wouldn't scare ANY woman off I wouldn't think (unless it's young girls we're talking about perhaps, whose parents never taught them how to do those things?)..but if he's doing those chores in a frilly lil apron at the same time...? lol
If I was forced to choose a little to one side of centre though, I'd probably have to go less metro and more caveman.  | |

I don't mind sharing the cooking duties. I would actually like it better if she cooked as much as I did. You know return the favor. It's like dating. I ask you out and then you ask me out. I made a killer buffalo meat loaf last night. The problem is, I'm single and it is a ton of food for just me. May be another reason why a lot of men don't cook a lot for themselves. | |
