I swept a cobweb off the patio door today and there was a HUGE big FAT UGLY black REALLY BLACK nasty mean horrible YUCKY spider under there!
Above my head....
Not good
Simply...not good
I tried to sweep it off with the broom thinking it will drop and I'll jump on it.
I swept with the broom, it was gone, it wasnt on the ground, it wasnt in the broom. And I became SURE it has jumped on ME somewhere!
Sob. Sob. Cry, Shake long hair. Brush clothing with hands. Remember big BLACK HORRRIBLE FAT UGLY SPIDERS HAVE FANGS!
Rush to shower. Throw clothes in bathtub. Wash hair (still sobbing). Finish shower...then be scared to pick up clothes in bathtub in case I missed it and its hiding in there somewhere.
Poke clothes with stick.
Then wonder if it was in clothes.....did it escape while I was in the shower and run into the bedroom!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm still wondering where it is...

I miss the conversations, sharing a laugh, and just those little touches. You know when your shoulders rub as you walk down the street, or you lean together when your standing watching a show, or when your cooking together and helping each other and your hands just touch.

How come I'm now missing something I've missed out on to start with??? Huh?
I miss the variety that another person bring to my life... the funny things they do that you never quite thought any one would do. The things that make you shake your head, roll your eyes, or say "Wha?" while trying not to laugh.
I miss being able to pass our Turkey Hat to another adult (when they do something really bloody stupid) and say "Here yar, you earned it!"
I miss the way my dog would tell me his bike was coming long before I could hear it, and I miss seeing a guy making a mess in the kitchen. Guys look great in the kitchen, but they just don't get the 'clean as go' bit, do they?.
Most of all, I miss hopping into bed while he pretends he's in a coma, and just kinda annoying him for a while... you know... until he opens one eye, stretches and then looks at me and feigns a surprised look that says.. "What are you doing here?"

me - been so long now i cant remember what i miss - 11 years single is a pretty fair effort i think and now am in such a batchelorette state i have forgotten what it is like to live with anyone (even the kids have flown the coop) how bloody sad is that | |

Posted: 5/28/2008 4:51:20 AM | I miss having to fight for the doona when you roll over in the night. Mind you the last guy who slept here , didnt... because I snore, was so long ago I even forget his name!
But he gave a good back rub, after he had brushed my long hair so much it shone..no wonder I snored . Was the best sleep in a lot of years.
there is no romance any more .. guys are in too much of a hurry they don`t want to take the time to really find out what you LOVE sharing!...  | |

Posted: 5/29/2008 5:13:10 AM | I have read everyones comments the serious and not so serious, and whether you are joking or not there are a lot of things I miss that has been covered but in my case what I really do miss is when I would get home from work and my wife would ask me what I wanted for dinner and I would answer her, then I would cook dinner, sometimes for the whole family but if the kids were in bed then I would cook for the two of us.
Even if I had already cooked for 100 plus people, I used to still look forward to cooking for us. Sometimes my wife would cook, that was when we more times than not had toast but I do miss cooking for that special person.

Just over a week ago, my boyfriend decided to inform me that he just wanted to be friends. Oh how I missed him, but I never let it show (bit stubborn like that I am).
Then he sent me the most wonderful letter, the old fashioned way, through the post. I remember reading it, and crying as I read it. But these were not tears of sadness, but tears of joy. See, my love of my life, went through this stage just a couple of months into our relationship and decided to be alone for a while.
With me leaving him alone to collect his thoughts, he was able to think clearly and logically about what he wanted out of life. It took him a while, but he did come back to me.
Someone told me once If you love someone, set them free, if they come back to you, they are yours, if not, they never were. I believe this now. | |
