I would like to live in one of those house-caves like they have on Santorini.
They are not houses but instant homes to me.
Big believer in the old (like very old) models of urbanisation, like the Aztecs, Mayans, Greeks.
Modern architecture should go all the way back to basics. | |

in my dream home ...
everything works...
everything cleans itself..
everything is automatically put away..
when thieves steal things, those things are automatically replaced before i come home.
also...nothing of the above costs anything to me.
Well If I could give a prize to anyone here for their dream house it would be Poster 20 this house is made of warmth and innocence and is a happy home that doesn't want to even feel or know about sorrow.

Well I do like 2 storey houses, but I think of reality, so maybe instead of a stair case to the second level, I would have a lift up there. I mean what if I came home drunk and wanted to go to bed? I might fall over, but I could just step into the lift and press a button. Buttons are easier I think.
A nice big balcony over looking some sort of water feature. This water feature could be anything from the ocean to a pond. Maybe with a bridge on top of it if it is a pond. A nice garden full of my favorite flowers, which are pansies, situated around the pond, where the bridge is. Maybe I could sit on the bridge and catch me some fish.  
An open plan house that has a great big kitchen with nice cupboards that have those little lights in them to show all the fine chinaware I seem to have collected in this lifetime.
A theatre, like a proper theatre with a full size cinema screen and leather recliners. Surround sound in there. Nah, hang on, why not throughout the whole house, so I can go to the loo and still listen to a great song.
My bedroom would comprise of a round bed, coz I think they are cool. My room would be round, and it would be absolutely massive. One of those net thingy's above my bed, that would be so cool!
Nice marble floors and granite benchtops for all my kitchen, vanities, and laundry areas. Really nice toilets in there as well, as I care about where my poop goes.  Maybe even with a semi heated seat, if such a thing has been invented yet, to warm my tush on those cold winter mornings.
I would have a built in gym, not to use, coz I don't need to, but just for the sake of saying that I have a home gym. That would be so cool. A below ground swimming pool, inside the house. You know, like daddy Warbucks had in the movie Annie.
At the front of the house I would have two giant pillars that are made of marble and those colonial bars on my windows, you know the ones that make your windows look like a french door.
Not really into cars, so not gonna go there, but I would have a nice big garage to keep a car of some description.
I might have to include one of these in my house
walking pantry.... That would be so cool, to have a pantry walking around with you, just in case I got hungry and couldn't be bothered going to the kitchen to get something to eat.  Just as well I have that lift! | |

Never dear, I think this would be a great item to have in a house. Its kinda like your very own mini bar!
Fantastic idea, you should go into house design. Really, you should. Make sure your hall ways are large enough to accommodate this large item following you around the house. | |
