Now that kids are out for summer break, strange or rude emails will become more prevalent.

We have to remember that just because POF says you are supposed to be 18, the Big Fish doesn't card at the door.

My odd emails are usually really young ones who have visions of a lonely, desperate woman who would be grateful for the opportunity to show them the ropes.

as long as my flippers still work and my tail can wag..i'll be swimming in da big pond!
it's all about mental aptitude and your ability to adapt as we age..fight it and you get that plastic look..swim with it and grow old with wit and charm and guess what? the minnows will follow you..

No one under 40 can email me so I haven't been asked that question by anyone that young, but I've been asked many times by men 40 and over why I'm on here. I usually don't answer because I don't quite know how to respond to that question. I thought I had as much right to be here as anyone else and this is the only way I date.

I have a rope to show them...it's got a noose and a neat 13 wrap slipknot in it...

but I've been asked many times by men 40 and over why I'm on here. I usually don't answer because I don't quite know how to respond to that question

a couple of answers;
"Same reason a dog licks his ass...because he CAN."
or
" I was led to believe that men on internet dating sites are exceptionally bright. From what I've seen, those who led me to believe that are going to Hell for lying."

We are not old frogs and frogettes here, we are just a bunch of very well preserved tadpoles swimming our little tails off in search of something tasty..........yum yum.........

Hun... you can dang sure turn some heads and let the little kids go their own way with their ignorance. I can remember when I was probably 12-13 one of what I thought was the funniest things I'd ever heard in my life. My grand dad was talking to my grand ma and told her about some man dating this REAL YOUNG WOMAN...she was ONLY 50 at the time... I thought that was the funniest thing I had ever heard in my life! Now, a 50 y.o. woman sometimes looks pretty young and pretty fine to me! At my age, I don't care how old a woman is as long as I find her attractive and we get along okay. One of my concerns happens to be whether or not she can get pregnant... I shy away from baby factories since I really enjoy financial freedom and independence.

BamaBob, it's true that 'different strokes for different folks" and that means that we look for different things in our relationships at different stages of our lives. I also have freedoms that I don't want to change for a relationship, would rather share than surrender.

I haven't read this whole thing, but I have been contacted by young guys in their 20's, so you probably have too, and told them, that's a nice compliment, but you are just waaay too young. And maybe he was one of those, so he retaliated. ????

Ah, Mae, I would, but the blood's thinned to enjoy southern climes.

And I still have two tadpoles I'm watchin' down here.

I keep getting messages from guys in their late 30's and I guess they are serious. I always tell them thanks for flirtin with granny but that I have a SON their age!

I'd rather be an old man's sweetie than a younger man's fool.

If you take one of the coloured poolside foam 'noodles', cut it in half, and tie each half on either side of your walker, up about a foot or so, you can use your walker in this pond. Just don't go into the deep end.

Just trying to be helpful, you know ...

I usually tell them, I have raised my kids, and don't want to raise another one Plus , I am not into teaching them. That is basically what they are looking for in a older women. They can practice on us, so they screw up when it comes to a girl their age. They want our experience.

You did right... block the idiot.

I had to set my mail to 'older than 37' and that helped. Never had one to ask me why I was on here though.

Oh... and...btw... you'll find many here who tell those 'little lies' about their age. I see some coming back on who I saw last year... and now, voila, they are 10 years younger.
