| Pittsburgh POF Event - July 6 ~ 6 p.m - 10:30 p.m. - Sandcastle Water Park, Homestead, PA Posted: 7/1/2008 7:18:04 AM | | Just wanted to say that I received the PofF e-mail and was pleased to see so many people signed up for this... I got tired of seeing all the New York and Ohio parties and wondered if Pittsburgh people ever got together to mingle... Thanks Sally and I'm looking forward to actually meeting the people I have chatted with and to make new friends. | |

| Pittsburgh POF Event - July 6 ~ 6 p.m - 10:30 p.m. - Sandcastle Water Park, Homestead, PA Posted: 7/2/2008 12:47:08 AM | The best way to learn a Jitter Bug is to go to Swing City 8 PM Saturday night and take their hour lesson for $10. That's in the Wightman Community Center at 5604 Solway Street in Squirrel Hill, PGH 15217. Coal Country Traditions also lists swing classes at www.coalcountry.org on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. With about two months of practice you can impress all of your friends! Dave | |

| Pittsburgh POF Event - July 6 ~ 6 p.m - 10:30 p.m. - Sandcastle Water Park, Homestead, PA Posted: 7/5/2008 12:00:02 PM | | Do they play anything else besides oldies? I do not like oldies music, I'm 34, oldies makes me feel like I'm hanging out with my mother who is in her 60's. I know that sounds ****y but honestly, I don't care, I much prefer music that doesn't require you jitterbug to it. I'm also thinking that oldies night attracts a much older crowd. 80's music, the 90's, current music, I'm so there but Sundays and oldies don't work at all. Most people have to get up the next day for work, that's a **** after you've been out the night before. Is there a reason why Sunday was picked instead of say Saturday night? Next event, make it a saturday thing and non oldies and I'm there with a dozen friends. | |
