In fact, this is a drop-in type of event, you can drop in anytime you want and leave any time you want.

A long time ago my profile was deleted for some bizarro unwarranted reason ( remember that fiasco last year? hehe) and when I had to rebuild my profile etc I had to put a "1" after my username because apparently even though my profile was zapped, my original username wasn't . How could there ever be another 'cjquickwit' anyways...(I can hear a few saying 'thank God' lmao)...So I forgot about all that 'rigamarole' and tried and tried this week to sign up using my original username ...anyroad... it finally dawned on me this morning! 'Mystery solved'. Looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday.

I have missed the Euchre tournies at O'Brien's and O'Briens itself. Staff are great at this place, and food is reasonable and tasty. I may even stay on for supper.

We where all new comers at one time or another, Deb is a great hostess and will make you feel welcome and introduce you around...

I thought I'd put this little tidbit in here...even though it's a "forum" type subject...I find it interesting that we often "check out" the people who have signed up to some of these events , like this coffee chat! Seems to be expected for sure and it's fun to read each other's profiles. However, some people who check out your profile ( and thereby catch your attention to go and check theirs out in turn)have restrictions on their mail settings so you can't contact them when you spontaneously and innocently want to tell them how much you appreciated their sense of humour in their profile ( stares conspicuously at Smileyguy...ermmm forget the number after his moniker)...anyway, your profile was a refreshing read :)))...meet you Sunday I guess? | |

Posted: 6/5/2008 10:28:17 AM | Bonnie, Kimber and CJ, you are all correct ... It's fantastic that there are 40 signups so far, and it's true that many show up without signing up, and it's true that we all check out the profiles, me included.
CJ, Smileyguy73 does have mail restrictions, so I hope he's less restrictive in person and says "hi".
Bonnie and myself and a few others will indeed stay on for a bit of supper. I love O'Brien's ... great food, great service, great karaoke and so on. They are always so happy to accommodate us. A big THANK YOU to Brian and staff!!!
By the way, euchre is on hiatus in the summer months, Val will put it on again in the fall. | |
