Celtics in 6 games, but not a very easy win.
I think you're the only person who correctly predicted the Finals...congrats!

| 2008 NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Celtics Posted: 6/17/2008 10:19:06 PM | | You know what the most recent NBA Finals & the Super Bowl taught me? Great defense beats a great offense anyday of the week. | |

| 2008 NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Celtics Posted: 6/17/2008 10:47:59 PM | I'm soo glad Boston won. I just relocated here to LA and the people here are so fake. so for the Celtics to beat the Lakers is like demoralizing the actors and celebrities people here look up to.
good job Boston

| 2008 NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Celtics Posted: 6/18/2008 8:07:51 AM | ESPN is getting ready to run a special call Titletown USA which they will select the city that could be called Titletown based on championships.
Well it will be pretty anti-climatic now as Boston is the official Title town and I HATE to say it, but hey they did their thing.
Also, I think KG's emotional interview after the game tops Jordans crying the last time he won a finals trophy.
Now that we got that out of the way. It's time to focus on the king of all sports FOOTBALL.

| 2008 NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Celtics Posted: 6/18/2008 8:19:10 AM | Pau Gasol is soft
Lamar Odom is a underacheiver
The "'zen master" got horrible outcoached
and Kobe who is suppose to be the greatest on the planet gets out played by paul pierce
and some people are suprised the celtics won in 6?
I truly beleive in karma...Pats losing superbowl(spygate)...and the lakers losing in finals(worst trade ever...pau gasol)

| 2008 NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Celtics Posted: 6/18/2008 3:38:08 PM | | Congrats to the Celtics. The Celtics were clearly the better team. More depth, better defense, rebounding, aggressiveness, better coaching ( at least in this series ) etc. | |

| 2008 NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Celtics Posted: 6/18/2008 4:12:35 PM | How could the celtics not win? They were loaded of course it was there season. I wonder if kobe will want to be traded again. I just got to say one more thing celtics suck! | |

| 2008 NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Celtics Posted: 6/19/2008 4:50:54 PM | I can see why experts picked the Lakers but that was because the Celtics struggled against the Hawks and the Pistons and they might not have enough in the tank for the Finals. However, the lakers are a soft and young team. Kobe, Gosal and Odom are nothing compared to Pierce, Garnett and Allen. The Celtic bench is better with tough guys like Posey and House. The Lakers have a bunch of soft European players. The Celtics are clearly the better team, with the better players, the better defense and stronger heart.
Check out the Scalabrine press conference where he tells it to the media. (Of all the people to have a press conference, they asked a guy who DNP for the finals - there were literally laughs and no body wanted to ask him a question).
|
| 2008 NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Celtics Posted: 6/19/2008 7:50:43 PM | | Odom played so shitty in the Finals that now he's up for trade bait. We should get an offseason NBA thread going. | |
|
| 2008 NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Celtics Posted: 6/19/2008 8:45:14 PM | How did the Lakers even manage to make it to the finals. Holy crap they're horrible. And if Kobie Bryant is the best in the game, I'm Micheal Jordan. When he threw a bad pass he blamed it on the guy he missed with his bad pass. And dragging his kids around is so transparent it's pathetic. Way to go Big Green!

| 2008 NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Celtics Posted: 6/19/2008 9:36:00 PM | | The Celtics as the saying goes "broke they foot off in the Lakers ass" great team defense. Kobe is not a team player he couldn't get of on Pierce and company. Fisher was not the automatic 3 machine on some good looks. Van Gundy was right Jackson should of played Gasol or Odom to help spread the floor more. Best playoffs in years. | |
|
| 2008 NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Celtics Posted: 6/20/2008 5:57:02 PM | Every great team has a Big Three so I don't know why Garnett, Pierce and Allen are skeptical of the label. Its almost essential because no team can win with just 1 or 2 superstars. Every team needs 3 gamers to relieve pressure from each other and know complement their roles. We had Jordan, Pippen and Rodman; Shaq, Kobe, and Horry; etc.
However, a strong bench is also essential and I think Posey and House need to be re-signed asap.
|
| 2008 NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Celtics Posted: 6/20/2008 10:34:51 PM | | Boston might lose their defensive wizard Tom Thibodeau...apparently Chicago is very interested in adding him onto Vinny Del Negro's coaching staff. | |
|
| 2008 NBA Finals: Lakers vs. Celtics Posted: 6/23/2008 5:44:14 PM | The Celtics had a harder time with the East than they did with the best in the West. Good job Celtics and the rest of you spoiled rotten Boston fans. You guys got to play in all the big games this year and got two titles. They have the talent to do it again with the big three and PJ Brown, House, and Posey. Of course Rondo and Perkins played huge also. If they can keep that team together then all predictions will likely be for Boston. | |
