| Open minded???....Do you try new things???? Posted: 6/3/2008 12:08:21 AM | My son wanted me to try sushi as I had never done so before, the thought of it use to make me gag. Anyway I caved and said ok why not? you only live once lol So HE went and brought us some and it turns out that I was right, I really don't like sushi but hey I did try. (Too much white rice I think).
Another thing I tried a few years back was power pole climbing. Loved it! You were harnessed so there was no real danger but stepping from one peg to the next was hard with short legs lol, got to the top then had to walk across a cable while holding onto another cable over head, hug the tree on the other side then jump off and let myself be lowered to the ground, awesome!

| Open minded???....Do you try new things???? Posted: 6/3/2008 5:31:13 AM | Goodonya Brizguy for daring to be different!
I am just picturing myself as a teenager talking my dad, a 6'2" lumbering Irishman with hands like shovels to go for a pedicure. Not for all the tea in China.
I remember him catching me going out when I was about 15 with my nails painted, he went ape, thought I was a totally loose woman, a floozy etc.
I had to sneak around to friends after that to put my make up on before I went out!

| Open minded???....Do you try new things???? Posted: 6/5/2008 12:46:15 AM | I think the general term "open minded" in my opinion is someone who is open minded to the following things: Orgies Gay/Lesbians New sexual techniques Bondage Criticism New age religion Any religion Cheating partners (if you were truly open minded and things never bothered you, cheating partners would not either) So with that said, open marriages and wife swapping (swingers)
How many are so "open minded" now?

| Open minded???....Do you try new things???? Posted: 6/6/2008 12:15:47 AM | Open minded, sure, I love giving things a go that I don't normally, its how we grow, the old becomes new again, we might just discover that we really love that thing we used to think with scare the bejebers out of us.
Open to new experiences doesnt necessarily mean open to anything though, just because I'm not willing to do some things, open relationships among others, doesnt mean I'm not open minded, I don't have a problem with orgies, homosexual relationships, yadda yadda, they're just not what I'm into.
Don't knock it if you havent tried it I say, and if you've tried it and didn't like it.. maybe don't do it again

| Open minded???....Do you try new things???? Posted: 6/6/2008 6:36:33 AM | I tried a bit of brain surgery on my brother once... brought a whole new perspective to the term 'open minded'
Cheating partners (if you were truly open minded and things never bothered you, cheating partners would not either)
To me, 'open minded' and 'things not bothering you' are two very different things, in fact I see open minded being about recognising things that bother you and trying them, or at least accepting them, regardless.
I don't see accepting a partner cheating as having much to do with open mindedness, it's more about deceit, denial and closed mindedness. Open marriages on the other hand are quite differant as all people involved are open and aware of the situation.

| Open minded???....Do you try new things???? Posted: 6/6/2008 6:43:22 AM | Poster 46. I did notice this just now (obviously waaaaaaaay to late to edit it.)
What I was referring to was not in fact cheating partners, as I do know that this is lying and deceitful as well, but was referring to the other part of my statement about the swingers.

The Island of BOB has the following things: It's own air force It's own Navy It's own Army Lots and lots of money For some reason, the Island of BOB seems to have only great looking men on it.
I want to move to the Island of BOB.
