Posted: 6/28/2008 5:41:24 AM | Unfortunely, I was not able to get someone to offer me a seat as pillion when a put up eariler posting. I will have to give it a miss this time round and might have to advertise for a seat couple times at the next event.
I've been looking around for second hand jacket , helmet, and gloves so I will have the right gear as pillion on the next ride. At the moment, I will have to request a seat as well as the gear that I mentioned, before for next bike ride outing.
I hope everyone will have fun and safe outing tomorrow.

Girls , its ok , if you put it out there for a ride and no one comes back to you directly , dont worry , there will always be an opportunity for everyone. Remember , not everyone is online at the same time as everyone else and besides , who has the time to read back over the last 13 pages of posts.
There are two ways to do this , (1) just go to a meet point and ask around if people have a seat available , (2) message riders from the sign up pictures (page 1) and wait for a response. Remember , we have a few cars going so if there are people left over , you can still go and enjoy lunch and the atmosphere , and get a ride later in the day.
The Idea was not to have this organised from when you leave your door , but to go to a meet point and then get a ride or two , and meet people , hence the stops. Only those who are in a relationship or working on one generally stay with eachother. My partner used to go on lots of bikes , until recently , now that she trusts me (im on a sports bike).
So please , dont get dejected , make the effort , go to a meet point and get out of your comfort zone , its the only way. Let people get to know you and just maybe someone will ask you to be first on their bike on the next ride.

Posted: 6/29/2008 1:42:03 AM | Hi, thanks all for another awesome day. Met some new people and lots of friends . Thanks to Paul for a fantastic ride, felt so safe and had the best time, look forward to many more. Shanegirl, you ROCK! Ha! Lots of laughs. As mentioned in the next posting about montezumas, think about Broadbeach, I have a huge yard to put the bikes in, live 2 minutes to the casino, and lots of space to crash with sleeping bags. I think this group of people has given a lot of us something to look forward to each, week or fortnight or whatever, life can be a little lonely sometimes and its guys and gals like you who bring a lot of sunshine into it, lets keep it up, if we dont find what we are looking for then at least we have made new friends, long lasting friendships, with lots of laughs along with it. i know I look forward to every new outing thats happening here, some I can attend some I cant, but I have met the best group of people and I thank you all for that. | |

Posted: 6/29/2008 2:24:23 AM | Thanks Pete for a great well organized day.I had an absolute ball.I think I shocked a few guys with my riding skills though.It's the company I keep(not naming names....they know who they are...Hayabusa and digidude ) so i blame them.They lead me astray!....I made some new friends and riding buddies today which was the aim if nothing else.So thanks Andrew,Shane and the others....oh and thanks Adrian for the awesome shoulder massage.:  Hope your lunch was worth the wait.
Pete and the others,I really hope you get your stuff back.I'm thinking of you mate.
Anyway,Looking forward to the next ride.
