| The Next (5th) Brizzy Bike Ride , SUN 29th June , South/NSW Posted: 6/6/2008 6:57:30 AM | Hi Everyone,
Just letting you know I am interested going along this bike ride as a pillion. This is my second time and loved it. Despite the fact I melted the undersole of my right boot on my on my first go as a pillion going up to Eagle Height pub.
I might need to borrow a helmet for the ride. I am looking at getting second hand helment, jacket, and gloves for future rides. Maybe motorbike shoes as well down the track. Becuase I don't do this to often it makes economic sense to buy second hand then brand new gear. Any recommendations where I can buy second hand gear that does not cost arm and leg.
I really enjoy going along these motorbike rides and meeting new people. Really getting out my comfort zone of being quite and shy.
I look forward to hearing from anyone that is willing to take on pillion.
cheers from happy jen | |

I do have a cheap and very good quality helmet you can try if you would like, just let me know i can bringit to the dinner for you to try. (you might need it there as well lol ha ha) cheers helen

| The Next (5th) Brizzy Bike Ride , SUN 29th June , South/NSW Posted: 6/7/2008 3:41:40 PM | Hi Mud and Sam as pete is away with most of the other POFers that go on these rides, camping, I will answer your question about the ride. It is a social ride and the riders ride at whatever pace they feel comfortable, when able some give their bikes a bit of stick but they have stops and markers along the way so everyone can catch up and keep together as a group. The main idea of these rides is that everyone has fun and stays safe and get to meet each other, we have had a couple of bikes who have come a gutsa on the rides and we/they don't want anyone getting hurt. The crowd is a great bunch you will have a great day. Also if you woud like to take a pillion on theses rides just place a post saying you will take a pillion or go to the main page and click on a lady you would like to take and make the offer of your seat. Enjoy the ride and the day and stay safe and upright. I hope this has answered your questions and Pete will be back Monday if you would like to contact him. | |

I had a great time been pillioned, had some laughs and met some nice people.
I wish you all the best of luck in your search for that "Special" person to compliment your life.
Thanks Pete for organising the rides and putting in so much effort.
Enjoy your rides stay safe and most of all stay on two wheels.

I'll try to make it to Cactus Jacks and hopefully catch up with everyone now I'm (almost) all settled. Would love to come along on this ride as a pillion if anyone's got a spare seat, please give me a yell

ahhhh Soulmate the thought of jeans turning into shorts......you could always wear them on the bike...lol..... naahh trust me nooooooooo1 wants to see me in shorts..... as a young gurl my dad used to point and laff and call me lucky legs if i wore shorts....lucky they dont break and stab u up the arse... ohh yerr nice 1 dad .... everyone knows self esteem is over rated i never wore em .. i did once on a bike... cause they so lilly white they glow in the dark...in fact if i wear shorts the reports of seeing bright unexplained lights in the sky increases... somehow theyre sooo white the light reflects into the sky causing unidentified light... 1 day i wore shorts on a bike kwaka 1000.. just a mate.. decided damn hot day.. ( i was young maybe 17)... i thought ok ...full face helmet nooooone knows its me.. ill wear shorts try and tan these babies...... hmmm bad call. ended up burning my lower leg on the exhaust... the bike was way tall for my short arse... then had to do the ride home in extreme heat burning my 3rd degree burnt leg..
anyhoo.. you live and learn.... ok now your talking.. ill be smiling if your holding 2 tooheys new? ,,, but wot are you gunna drink? smiles/peace

| The Next (5th) Brizzy Bike Ride , SUN 29th June , South/NSW Posted: 6/8/2008 2:36:11 AM | | hmmm lucky legs indeed....our fathers must have gone to the same school of how to encourage and develop a young childs mind........must say the mental image of you at 17 in shorts on a kwaka 1000 is quite appealing.......hmmm strange how there hasnt been many unidentified lights in the skies in recent years...lol.....well if your drinking the tooheys, I must be drinking the james squire.......cheers | |

| The Next (5th) Brizzy Bike Ride , SUN 29th June , South/NSW Posted: 6/8/2008 6:26:34 AM | ok...as most people already know, i dont NORMALLY take a pillion... however, i will take a pillion from the BP Yatala to the meeting point if needed. ( being a straight stretch and a road im comfortable with)... so there is a seat that far if there's anyone in need. At Robina meeting point, you should be able to pick up a seat the rest of the the trip. Its only cause im a short-ass and my lil legs cant take the weight of bike/me/pillion in a quick-stop situation... im a safe rider and know my limits. i actually live in Paddington, near the city..so if thats any handier than Yatala to ppl. let me know.
cheers..looking forward to it! Lino
