Obama is losing ground... major ground to McCain on the Catholic Vote. A Commentator attributed this to Catholics representing a large block of Middle America.
Reason:
The difference b/w Obama and McCain on the Issues. Imagine that. Real Issues.
Rock star status as Obama is being portrayed having... works in Hollywood.

I, personally, believe that Obama with a Democrat majority will finish us off... morally and fiscally as a nation. We are in a mess and it will take the mindset of McCain and Moderates on both sides of the aisle to pull us out.
All the News Outlets are talking about how Obama is going to the Center... trying to get votes. McCain was already Center. He has deviated much less than Obama. This is not just my observations..but, rather the consensus...even of those who say they support Obama.
Bush and Congress... Democrats and Republicans have got us in this situation. It's time to take a good long look at what each Candidate has done. In previous elections I have voted for Clinton and Bush.
I am glad to have the opportunity to vote for McCain. A man who has served this Country in both the Military and the Congress in a good, honorable way. We must have his experience and perseverance in Office... especially now.
We do not need a very very Left Liberal who is trying to move to the Center to get the Votes as Obama is doing. That's the last thing we need right now.
We also need a Congress which will get things done in the right way for the Nation. | |

But read carefully, in that article they state the tobacco industry provided funds for Obama's Senate campaign. This doesn't have anything to do with his presidential campaign funds.
According to the non-partisan Center for Responsive Politics, Obama ranks No. 3 among current senators receiving contributions to their Senate campaign committees from individuals connected to Altria, the parent company of Philip Morris.

Showing the typical Iraqi citizen.. many wearing clothes like we do, sitting around, chatting, interacting with the soldiers casually. They're really afraid. Oh, and Canada is supplying a lot of the financial aid for planes there alongwith the American Boeing.
Al Qaeda is being fought there. How about that. Al Qaeda has been there all along. Who knew. We just weren't fighting them there while they continued to bomb us under Clinton. But, we haven't been hit since entering Iraq.
Obama and camp don't like seeing these images. News said they would have preferred that this report was not released. Wonder why.
Obama has totally flip flopped on the gun ban issue. Why? Oh... he needed the Middle America vote.
Why are some of you against a war hero being President? I've seen McCain demeaned here for being as such. The man did nothing different than many did in the Civil War.. WWI...WWII, etc. McCain did his duty and something he believed in. To halt the spread of Communism. But, our Public decided it was PC correct to disown the Viet Vets. Shame on us!!
All of the non military people and all of the Obamas can sit back and rest on your laurels in a FREE Country... spouting off about an old man who served his Country. Noone knows what we would be like here if we had not entered WWI or II or even Vietnam. All those men and women were doing/are doing is serving their Home Country ... the USA. Obama... your man.. has said he will invade Iran. He will not bring the troops home, but, will redistribute them.
It was Not Obama's military experience and plan implemented which cut the American Casualty in Iraq by 80% with last years 'surge' . McCain devised it and fought to get it implemented. Even the Libs don't deny that.
For me to see some of the things written here about McCain's POW experience makes me totally ashamed of those who say it...but, by gosh they have the right to say it. For sure. Because of people like McCain and ALL the Others who join the Military...Serve the USA.

Obama's plan would not affect my taxes, either, but even if it did because I was fortunate enough to be in a higher income bracket that is meaningless. Fiscal responsibility is a MUST, and the last eight years have been a perfect example of the consequences of fiscal recklessness. Tax breaks for the rich are fiscally irresponsible and do not make sense. IMO, people who cry about taxes should take a more mature approach to things and realize that it is unrealistic for rich people to pay low taxes and expect to have decent governmental services in return. You get what you pay for. Low taxes=deteriorating roads, spoiled food making it to your dinner plate, insufficiently trained police officers, failing schools, and pollution running rampant to name just a few items that suffer when insufficient revenue is provided to get those things done that need to be done. Tax and spend is more fiscally sound than the absurdities of the last eight years of borrowing and spending! Pay-go is the liberal Democratic approach to fiscal policy, and that makes far more sense than the current folly which is comparable to a man getting laid off and then running thousands of dollars up on credit card bills while unemployed. Doesn't make sense!!
I don't give a rat's behind about inheritance taxes. Quite frankly, even WARREN BUFFETT favors keeping it in place! Enough of the whining from the selfish rich who care about nothing but saving money on taaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaxes. I don't feel sorry for any rich person who whines about taxes. It comes across as pathetic and selfish.
I respect McCain's service, but I do not feel that he would make a good president. Other presidents did not serve in the military and did fine. Franklin Delano Roosevelt comes to mind for one example. John McCain is not fit mentally to be president, and his mental instability is one of my major concerns about him being our next president.
Obama didn't serve in the military but he did serve his community as an organizer. He could have worked for a fancy law firm and made big bucks. Instead, he worked among the struggling people of the inner city. The poor don't have enough of a voice with right wing Republicans who only care about helping the rich and ripping everone else. A man like Obama will finally give voice to the poor. Taking care of those in need is far more important to me than tax rates. People need to be less self centered and look around themselves. There's alot of suffering in this world, and I am willing to pay my fair share to alleviate even just a little of it.

John McCain has so much more experience in world affairs, the military, the government, etc. Obama has none of this. These are very serious times and America is to important to vote for someone just because of their race or the fact they're a good speaker or b/c he's a liberal.
