This "change" he talks about will send us all spiriling down into poverty. Paying 50% or more of your hard earned dollars in taxes to support his SOCIALIST AGENDA.

Why do blacks even buy into the culture of dependency? Why is Urkel Obamalamadingdong considered black? His mom was white- that makes him 50% white. His abandoning father with multiple wives has a birth certificate that lists him as Arab. Obambi is 1/16 black and 7/16 Arab. Barry Hussein has oodles of friends he owes favors to for his rise to power. He uses duplicity and underhanded tactics to get his opponents to withdraw from races against him. He is a product of crooked chicago machine politics. The unrepenetant terrorists Ayers and Dohrn are his good buddies as was Rev. (Whites have blacks HIV and G*d D*mn America) Wright and other looney prechers. Then there is convicted fixer/crook Rezno and other scumwads like Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam and the New Black Panther party. Barry doesn't want you pointing any of these things out. He wants to control your lives and usher us to a new Marxist world as Jimmy Carter II. Yeah, the first few sentences sounded pretty satirical, but then... no such luck.
Only in America, with its history of race-based slavery, segregation, and prejudice, can a member of the marginalized group ascend to the nomination for the country's highest office, only to find accusations of him being a racist bigot. I find solace in that this election will be largely decided by young voters who tend to be more open-minded.

How's that? The population of people 45 and above outnumbers the population between 18 and 44, and if anything, older people vote in larger numbers than younger people. | |

The OP asked a legitimate question on why O8ama was regarded as black and not white. Nothing wrong there. All of a sudden people start with the "liberal agenda" argument and the who's more racist whites or blacks? Come on people. Are you so hell bent on making a political point that you can't stay on topic?
If you must bring up issues like that, you should take the time to realize we are all in the same boat fighting the same war. We are all citizens of the U.S.A. There is no such thing as all the liberals have the right answers or all the conservatives have the wrong answers. There should be no us verses them within our own boarders. We have to work together and compromise, as Americans, to find the answers to our (and I emphasize "our") problems as a nation. Black, white, liberal, conservative, Christian, atheist and every American in between. No one group has all the answers or shoulders all the blame.
Quit trying to prove a point and comment on the OP's original question. Give it a rest.

If we look at the primary seasons, Republican and Democrat, we can note some changes.

There's been a record amount of interest amongst the young, especially amongst young Democrats, who flocked to primaries all over the country. This "Facebook" generation is VERY into this election - a far different cry from past elections.
I think we can also safely predict an increase in African-American voters, without going to far out on a limb. 
So, against your contention of disdain, I suggest we may just see a significant number of voters that were absent in the past swelling the ranks of the voting population. In an election that may indeed be a close one, that could push an Obama victory far more easily than a McCain one into a higher probability.
Unlike the last election , the Republican party is in disarray - by it's own admission. It's lost Congressional election after Congressional election - non-stop. This time, it's for the ultimate prize, and it would make little sense for this pattern to reverse itself and turn 180 degrees.
In other words ?
When you see President Obama at one of those White House shindigs ?

I wish I could vote MG for President!  he is ALWAYS so "right on point" and every bit as lucid and "thorough" with his posts! He is clearly a very-learned man, yet he is affable enough that those less learned feel comfortable engaging him in conversation. But, for those foolish enough to challenge his assertions without doing their homework beforehand ... WHEW!!  I feel sorry FOR them! 
This is an interesting thread here, in that it seems to have attracted a "larger-than-normal" number of racists and ignorants out to attack Obama on all matters non-political. I think the most interesting observation I've made is that there seems to be very little pro-McCain, pro-Hillary, pro-patriotism, pro-Paul, or any of the other "pro's" (with the notable exception of my old pal Insolent over there with his "Liberation Ideology ... " crap that he tosses all over these forums  -- you're too funny, man! But I love your contributions anyway and would feel at a loss without them.  ). Nope. Very few pros to be found here so far; just anti-Obamas.
Well, good luck, all you guys. Vote with your hearts and minds come November. 
One thing for certain, only one of the remaining candidates will be standing come January. Best of luck to you, for those of us who have guessed wrong will almost undoubtedly get laughed at.

That is also perfectly inaccurate! So I hope that the inaccuracy of that former claim is one of the things "whites become more aware" of during the "slow change" referenced in the latter.
Obama works for the interests of his constituents; pretty much like any other politician. But, of course, if anyone bothers to do any independent research, they'd find that out for themselves, rather than from me. Sadly, though, it seems masses of us would just prefer to accept -- as the gospel truth -- the propaganda and lies spread by those who would prefer to see us shielded from the truth.

We are going to see a higher voter turn out of ALL persuasions. No argument from here that blacks will turn out in high numbers to vote for Obama, and despite other contentions I don't think there will be enough rednecks, skinheads and other racists voting against him to wipe out that vote.
Obama isn't going to lose because of racism, he's going to lose because he won't be able to get enough of the Hillary supporters to vote for him, because there will be enough people turned off by his long term associations and lack of political experience.
Obama is only leading Hillary Clinton by a few hundred thousand votes in the primaries, and he would need to get virtually ALL of her supporters plus some Republicans to vote for him in order to win. It would only take 5 percent of Hillary supporters staying home, not voting for President at all (but voting for other candidates), or voting for McCain for him to lose.
Currently around a third to half of Clinton supporters say they won't vote for Obama. No doubt he'll get some of them to change their minds over the next five months, but he won't get enough of them.
And, I'll say hi to President McCain at the inauguration for you!  | |

What Obama is doing constitutes issuing a call to maturity directed explicitly toward Black men on the basis of this demographic trend which has been in place for a number of decades now. As to etiology, we've argued the disparity in terms of how we more readily incarcerate people of colour contributes to this problem, just for starters. Anyway you look at it, it's a legitimate problem for the Black community and Black leaders have been addressing this for decades. I would suggest that when a Black leader does this, it is not racism.
