So much foul feeling in the service of so much delusion and fear, and so pointless. Their chapter is closing - for a while, anyway - and I ought to be enjoying their furious self-abuse. But it is really, really, just too sad.

It's true while on a business trip to an Air Force base I listened to the discussions as the current Air Force times had it's interview with Obama with a discussion of the effects of his policies on the AF.
Like a fly on the wall I listened and found more white service personnel favoring Obama than black personnel. This includes white and black service men and women from E-3 to O-3. I had no contact with very junior or very senior members due to my job. The black service members were very adamant that Obama was scum. I was surprised at their attitude and even more surprised when I realized the whites were for Obama because of altruistic reasons and not for anything they could verbalize.
Racism, does not exist in the middle class working demographic of Air Force personnel. I doubt it exists much at all outside of closed door meetings at hidden locations. | |

CAPITAL GAINS TAX :
MCCAIN
0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples).
McCain does not propose any change in the
existing home sales income tax.
OBAMA
28% on profit from ALL home sales.
How does this affect you?
If you sell your home and make a profit,
you will pay 28% of your gain in taxes.
If you are heading toward retirement and would like to
down-size your home, or move into a retirement community,
28% of the money you make from your home
will go to taxes.
This proposal will adversely affect the elderly, who are
counting on the income from their homes
as part of their retirement income.
DIVIDEND TAX:
MCCAIN 15% (no change)
OBAMA 39.6%
How will this affect you?
If you have any money invested in the stock market,
IRAs, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance,

Getting a little overly dramatic there. I don't remind anyone of their race, color or creed. Maybe some do, but most don't. Depends what box o rocks you are talking to.
When faced with emotional strain, frustration or anger ...White and Black use the race card.
Sometimes legitimately (job promotions, discrimination, denial of service, disparate treatment, etc.) and sometimes illegitimately (simple disagreements, clash of values, differences in attitude, lifestyle, etc.).
It's a new world. The racists are dying off fast. | |

Posted: 7/29/2008 7:48:39 AM | This issue is quite interesting. I am of bi-racial descent and am the descendant of slaves and slave owners. I American first, second and last. This was earned by the sacrifices of my ancestors. My problem with Obama is that he is an inerloper to all the sacrifices and accomplishments of black Americans who are descendants of slaves. There is major difference between a black American and Africans. First, Africans consider black American inferior because they sold us into slavery. Obama projects this attitude when he talks down to black American as noted by Jesse Jackson(even a blind squirel finds a nut!) It is hard to believe I agree with the most rightous Rev. but this time he was absolutely correct. Obama is running a scam on black Americans and we are falling for it hook, line and sinker. Don't forget that American hating wife of his who graduated from Princeton and Harvard and now makes $300,000 a year. If this country is racist and evil give me some what Obama's wife is taking.
White liberals also believe as most Africans and that why they are insulting us with this interloping euroweinie wanna be. Let look at some facts: black Americans have accomplished more in 150 years of freedom, interupted by Jim Crow, than the entire continent of Africa and that includes Arabs in the Middle East. Our GDP would rank our wealth number 12 in the world. We have excelled in every area of science, medicine, literature, socially, economically and many other fields of endeavor. In other words,"Obama you can haul your half Kenyan ass back to African or Europe to fullfil your dream of becoming a euroweinie eurotrash.
This country has advanced in the field of race relations in a historically unprecedented
manner. With the millions of highly educated accomplished black men and women in this country we can do much better than Barak Hussien Obama. White liberals get over your perceptions of black American. We have accomplish much in spite of what you people have done to schools in black communities. Education is the key to advanement in this country and you libs are destroying the hope and dreams of millions of black people. Whenever a lib gets a new wacked education experiement up their asses they don't go to the white suburban districts ,where thier children attend, they head right for the inner city.
The first real black president should be the descendant of slaves not some johnny come lately half African interloper. This would bring America's orginal sin to a healing full circle. So instead of focusing on what he thinks on any particular topic the news loves that they have a minority candidate for thier team. Make no mistake its thier team, when last polled 90% of all news reporters were registered Democrats.
I personally feel he needs to be seasoned more as a polition. He only has had one term. I also am not fond of his tax everything plans. Lots of presidents from Kennedy to GW Bush have found that if you lower taxes people spend more and the government recieves more revenue. | |

Following Jewish tradition, if a mother is jewish, then so is the kid. Perhaps we should refer to Obama as just another white democrat with strongly socialist tones and a tan.

I call it "the other foot" theory......black folk have had to live under "white rule" forever and ever, and we managed to survive....if a Black man is elected President of these United States, white people will survive, too.

That is why poor and middle class white people can be so easily manipulated by wealthy interests to speak out and vote against their own interests. Many of them are tricked into believing their lives should be nicer, easier, more of a pleasure than they are, because they are white and "entitled."
Because life is tough for everyone who works for a living, they will serve their own interests by finding common cause with their black, Hispanic, and elsewise poor and middle-class neighbors. But, to do that, they will have to surrender the poisonous fiction that "white makes right," a lie that Limbaugh and Savage and FAUXNOISE and the rest perpetuate in service to their moneyed puppeteers.
It's a trick on whiggers.
We have to point it out, over and over, until these frightened, frustrated folks understand who stands with them, and who uses them like rented mules. They'll do the right thing, just as soon as they see what it is.

When infact the reason most I have talked to that arn't voting for him can't stand his tax policies. They mention nothing of race. But as one post put it, it is being pushed as a selling point by his supporters. "The first black president." Tell me how many supporters of Obama have uttered this phrase?
I really couldn't care about the race or sex. I want someone that I agree with on policy issues and Obama and I don't see eye to eye.
Or senario two. Obama wins. Will those that think every white man is a potental racist ease up. Because by far the biggest voting block is white men. Because they were the ones that secured his win. I hope they won't see an enemy in every white man. While racism still exists and is terrible. I for my part try to treate everyman fairly. This is how I was taught. To judge a man on deeds not on skin. And will his supporters be able to see beyond his skin to see him not as the first black president but to see him as the 43rd president that happens to be black. | |
