Posted: 6/6/2008 1:00:29 AM | I confess, I even watched a little of BB Live last night. Mario and Lisa were trying hard to act as if the didn't know each other (and failing miserably IMO), while Mario and Steph were making a hash of looking like an established couple.

What vegetables have we got in the house this year hmmmm....................
CARROT
Fitness instructor by day, special constable by night. Loves fine, crumbly soil. Hates rabbits, immigrants and parsley. Extremely orange.
BROCOLLI
A fun loving vegetable with a degree in para-psychology. Describes herself as a good listener who makes friends easily even though she is just some broccoli.
ONION
The first ever onion in the Big Brother house. Hopes to raise awareness of onions and onion related issues. Store in a cool, dry place inside some old tights.
POTATO
The most hideously misshapen of this year's vegetables. Earns 'good money' as an Andrew Lloyd Webber look-a-like. Sensitive about his green bits.
Incredibly gay.
CHIVES
Upper class and arty. Describes herself as a "creative free spirit who drinks vodka by the pint". Chop her up with scissors over a bowl of soup.
PARSLEY
A popular aromatic herb used throughout Europe and Asia. Writes his own songs and goes great with cod. Hates immigrants and carrots.
ARTICHOKE
This year's lesbian vegetable is a trainee nurse with a pierced tongue and a tattoo of Beelzebub. Tough on the outside, absolutely disgusting on the inside.
COURGETTE
Mysterious, aloof and erotically charged. Likely to have carrot and parsley competing for her attention. Has been known to dramatically transform a frittata.

Yeah, they all seem like nice likeable strong charcters, but none too wacky. I watched it last night, and it wasn't bad, it wasn't bad at all. I've got a feeling this just may be nearly as good as Big Brother 5. | |

The first one was a novelty, and the second was OK I suppose. But now most the people on there are just wannabees and trying to cause a scandal. A bit sad really.
Plus its just another reality show that tries to cause a stir, in order to get people to ring in and vote. And that's what it's really about "Ring in and vote and make Channel 4 a stack load of cash"

Imagine my utter disappointment on finding out, albeit too late, that the following, were being offered as an alternative:
It's a tough choice - if you have Freeview on at the same time on 'Top Yourself TV' there is a fascinating documentary presented by Ken Livingstone detailing Serbo-Croat Laundry Labels of the 1970's while 'The Thrills Channel' has Clement Freud watching some soft sheen Magnolia drying on a recently plastered wall.......
