bush IS RESPONSIBLE for getting us into a war....because he believed bad information.... just like everyone else.
TO LIE IS TO STATE SOMETHING ONE BELIEVES IS FALSE WITH THE INTENTION THAT IT BE TAKEN FOR THE TRUTH BY SOMEONE .
Look at the DATES contradictory information was available would you. Or even the current spin that has been attempted with Iran. They've out smarted Bush at every turn so far, not that it is a difficult task. They captured British sailors for the express purpose of giving them back unharmed after negotiating for their release to show they were reasonable people rather than blood-thirsty savages, then intel community has already come out saying their nuclear program does seem to be nothing more than claimed.... energy source not a weapons source. Although perhaps they should have equal footing with Israel, M.A.D. might speed up the diplomatic peace process.

Half-cocked on Haditha Critics blasted Marines without benefit of facts or fairness Augusta Chronicle Editorial Staff
If you call someone a cold-blooded killer in public, you'd better have the facts on your side.
That's our free, untrained legal advice for Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., who said precisely that about a handful of Marines once accused of killing civilians in Haditha, Iraq.
Seven of the eight Marines initially charged in connection with the alleged incident have been exonerated.
There were four charged with participating in the alleged massacre, and four charged with failing to properly investigate it. Lt. Col. Jeffrey Chessani was charged with failing to properly investigate it, but a military judge this week dismissed the case.
Now, Chessani's lawyer says they are considering a lawsuit against Congressman Murtha.
That would be rich, indeed.
Murtha, who as a former Marine should have known better than to go off half-cocked, was as strident as possible in condemning our troops before they ever went to trial or were even fully investigated.
In May 2006, Murtha said the Marines "killed innocent civilians in cold blood."
We don't know what happened in Haditha. We don't know if Chessani would have a case against Murtha in a lawsuit. But one way or another, there ought to be accountability.
Were the allegations of atrocities ever true, or did the enemy's propaganda machine and penchant for lying dupe Murtha and the mainstream media?

| Senate proves Bush lied us into war. Posted: 6/20/2008 10:57:58 AM | Here is my two cents worth on this:
Lying to the american people, including soliders doing the dirty work / foot work , is the american way... to expect a government that tells the truth is being very niave ...
I was raised in political and civil service family ... I have been privy to certain information over the years that has not been common knowledge...
I do not support the war we find this country in (thank you BUSH) nor do I support those that do support it ... whether it be the soliders or the moneymen behind the decisions that have been made ...
fighting for my freedom ... I don't think so, they don't even know me ... they do not know what I support or when I may support it ...
Yes, I believe that Bush along with the others should be held accountable ... to include prision time and possible death ...
I do not think that he looses any sleep at night over what he has done, I do not beleive he has a soul ...
January 20, 2009 will not come soon enough for me ...

| Senate proves Bush lied us into war. Posted: 6/20/2008 11:08:35 AM | ^^ Won't come soon enough for the majority of the American public, judging by the disapproval numbers. He's lucky we don't live in one of those coup-prone countries. As for the "fighting for our freedom" thing, the way I look at it is I admire the courage it takes for these guys and girls to join up, ok, I grant that. But I will NOT grant , in this kind of an instance (Iraq), or in any of the wars going back all the way to WWII, that they are or were in any way fighting for my or "our" freedom. It has not been truly threatened since the WWII era -- which, IMO, obviously turned out to be a just and necessary war in which they triumphed over a totally deranged type of Fascism and also over Japanese racist imperialism as well (although, in all honesty, I disagree with the way the US used the atomic "WMD" and I think that incident gave the nation a whole hell of a lot of bad collective "karma", so to speak, but that is just IMO...). If this nation were invaded by another nation, and those soldiers defended it, then I would say "thank you" to a vet for defending my freedom and way of life. At this point however , the rank-and-file soldiers are essentially just pawns (sadly) and cannon fodder in a game of geo-political and geo-strategic interests which has nothing to do with Americans' or any other Westerners' freedom and ways of life. To say they are actively defending it against something that is threatening it is IMO total BS and jingoistic nationalist and militarist propaganda. Don't buy it. | |

is it just this transparent and obvious to me? i watched the 911 things, they totally looked staged ive felt it was a staged act since the first day what kind of terrorist cell would hijack and run airplanes into buildings lol its not even plausible because at any stage of the event things could change , passengers could revolt etc there are far too many variables to really fit into the terrorist attempt after the massacre of approx 2 million afghans and iraquis, bush is out flying over flood zones huggin women what kind of twisted scumbag would hug a parasite like bush??? i just looked at the picture in revolt how the american people can hold that subhuman parasite up as a symbol of americanism is beyond me
dont let that scab leave office, force his scabby azz out and jail him till the end of his term ,let him sweat in prison while the iraqui country is given back to the people strip the bush family fortune and give it to the survivng families he murdered this is the only true justice he shouldnt get a death penalty he should be imprisoned at the taxpayer expense not the american taxpayer either, the iraqui taxpayer send him to an iraqui prison , penniless
im not a usa citizen or even a slight proponent usually for anything american, but cmon ppl , get back to reality and lets see you all live up to the damn words on your own charters already. this small act alone would bring back a little dignity for all of you.

Look at the farce of Mai Lai and what it took for convictions of US personnel under its' military justice system. fact of the matter is 24 non-combatant were killed by US ground forces in Haditha. The reason for the acquittal as stated was "we thought they were legal combatants" as a defense was deemed acceptable. Some of those were unarmed kids and mothers. The ROE invokes soldiers to shoot first ask questions later in situations where a little forethought would prevent that from even being an issue.

In deed ~ some good came of it
and some bad ~ Chief CIA director Bill Casey ~ conviently died ~ leaving Lt. Col, Ollie North holding the bag ~ guilty of skirting congress ~ a "loose cannon" on the deck in pitching sea. ~ accountability was lost ~ lies to hide lies ~ Refuseing to roll-over on his Commander and Chief ~ Ollie took the heat. ~ his feet was put to the fire! In this case ~ it got them out ~( as you say) in this present situation ~~ it got us "in" ~ into a meat grinder ~ with no clear objective that the American people and their elected repersentives completely understand.
The point to this ~~ Our government is founded on a system of beliefs ~ and checks and balances. And who should decided that this system don't work and attempt to circumvent it ~ and should they be held accountible and if so ~ to what degree?

| Senate proves Bush lied us into war. Posted: 6/21/2008 8:50:36 PM | trubblemakr said "how the american people can hold that subhuman parasite up as a symbol of americanism is beyond me"
I don't think any Americans hold him as a symbol of America. Over the last 8 years you have seen America's goodwill go down the drain and it is all to do with one administration and not the American people. I have traveled around the world and most people from these various countries have said they have no problem with the American people but only with their government. They know that Americans have as much control over their government as any other country in the world does. When you have electronic voting then that is when democracy dies. Many of the voting machines are owned by Diebold and other corporations including the CIA and can be manipulated with. This has already been admitted to. Paper voting is the only way to go since you have a paper trail for recount.
As far as 9/11 being an inside job it is apparent to most people these days that study the facts and do their own critical thinking. I don't blame Bush and his administration since one party alone couldn't get away with something this big but obviously it got the OK from above and help from the Military Industrial Complex. I mean there is no such thing as a pancake collapse before or after 9/11 and buildings don't fall at freefall speed as they did.
You read any of the globalist own books in the 1990's and they talk about the coming changes at the beginning of the new millenium. Whether it is Zbigniew Brzezinski or Nick Rockefeller. People can watch Aaron Russo's "America: Freedom to Fascism", or "Zeitgeist" or Alex Jones "Terrorstorm" but the info is endless for those who wish to understand the world we live in and not the world we have assumed we live in.
9/11 being an inside job is a slam dunk to anyone that wish to bring the circumstantial evidence to a court of law. Last I checked their was 800+ pieces of evidence that prove this but there is probably more now. They have declassified "OPERATION NORTHWOODS" which was from 1962 which was the US defense departments plans to fly planes into buildings on American soil in order to get support from the American people to invade Cuba (Castro) after the failed "Bay of Pigs" invasion.
It has even been declassified that the US MAIN was sunk on purpose to get America to invade Cuba during the Spanish war over Cuba in 1898 and you had William Randolph Hearst inventing "Yellow Journalism" at that time to make up a war that Americans would believe. He even told his photographers "You take the photos and I will make up the war". So you see this stuff is nothing new and even goes back to the days of the Romans and beyond but now we have a population that is waking up thanks to the internet where we can network facts and information and get to the truth.
They are doing a good job with the "Phoney war on terror" since you have a US/Mexican border wide open with 10,000 illegal immigrants crossing the border everyday untouched since the US minutemen are not allowed to shoot them and they estimate 20-30 million illegal Mexicans now live in South/West USA which is about 10% of the US population. Not to mention Senators have passed bills etc.. allowing illegal mexicans to get mortgages etc.. This doesn't happen by accident since it is well known they have been integrating Canada, Mexico, and the USA since March 23,2005 and by the United Nations own documents the "Security Prosperity Partnership" (SPP or AKA North American Union) will be complete by 2010 similar to the European Union. The whole illegal Mexican immigration is just part of the overall plan. This is all done while there is a mainstream media blackout.
We have had a parallel government before our grandparents were even born. The founders of the United Nations and the failed "League of Nations" were private bankers that had the sole objective when they were founded to gradually form a One World Government. Non-government organizations (NGO's) are the parallel government like the United Nations, Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission, Royal Institute of International Affairs, Club of Rome, IMF and World bank and the list goes on. None of these people are "elected" by the people but are "selected" by the Global Elite. Even Lou Dobbs talks about this on CNN. There are so many tyrannical laws on the books right now in America that after another crisis/disaster then everything will change and will make Nazi Germany look like a sunday picnic.
This isn't a left (Democrats) versus right (Republicans) issue. It is the puppet masters behind every leader of each party (In almost every country). I could give you a list of great books that tell all about this but the best one I know (Which I own) is from Bill Clinton's mentor from Georgetown university Carroll Quigley in his 1966 book called "Tragedy and Hope" where he had studied this Elite group for 20 years and was allowed access to all their papers for 2 full years to describe what they have been doing to make this One World Order. I mean all the wars for the past 200 years have been financed on both sides by the same group. It is all about a consolidation of power.
So I wouldn't villianize Bush & co too quickly since this isn't a party thing. It doesn't matter who the next president is for 2009 because I can assure you they are "allowed" to be president because they will follow orders or UN mandates. From my research I see a financial collapse coming over the next few years from the current credit bubble and a currency crisis with the US dollar and the Canadian Dollar. They already have a new currency in the wings for this North American Union and it is called the "Amero".
We have privately owned central bankers that control our world (Central banks, International Monetary Fund (IMF), Bank of International Settlements (BIS), and the World Bank) and over time have us now on a fiat currency system where all our money is printed (95% of our monetary supply is electronic money now) out of nothing. It is backed by nothing. Not gold or oil which is why commodity prices are only going to soar over the next 10 years (Gold, silver, wheat, corn, rice etc...) since it is all priced in US Dollars. Over the last 60-100 years at least, nothing happens in our world without it being planned that way.
I am sure most people already know this stuff since it is nothing new. Politicians and their left/right parties are just window dressing to give "We the people" the illusion that we live in a democratic society where our votes count but the agenda continues along whether it is the left or the right in power. People have to start focusing more on the puppet masters and not on the puppets.

| Senate proves Bush lied us into war. Posted: 7/1/2008 1:24:02 PM | I could be wrong, but this is my opinion.
We would not be in Iraq if 9/11 didn't happen.
Bush's main priority was to protect the American people.
Bush has made a lot of mistakes.
Intelligence is not perfect and does not give all the facts - you have to make decisions based on what the intelligence gives you - which is usually incomplete - but if you have to make a decision on a big issue you have to choose based on incomplete intelligence.
Intelligence produces many different facts and reports supporting several different outcomes (did Irag currently have WMD's (Iraq did have WMD's at one time and did use them to kill the Kurds), did they have a nuclear program, could they produce a nuclear bomb in a couple of years, were they hiding things from inspectors, did they suspend their nuclear program waiting for inspectors to finish and then build it back up, did they support terrorists, was Irag dangerous to the US, was a war going to get us into worse scenario, would the Iraqi people support us if we toppled Saddam). There was intelligence supporting both sides of all of these issues.
Bush made the decision to go to war in Iraq based on two or more bad choices. If we didn't go to war and stop Saddam, and he built a nuclear bomb (as some intelligence indicated - some reports said yes, he was building a A-bomb and some reports said no) and it was used to blow up New York City, then it would make 9/11 look like a stubbed toe. Bush would have been blasted for risking and killing the American people's lives on the bet that Saddam couldn't build an A-bomb and give it to terrorists to use on the US (because he had killed his own people with WMD's and supported terrorists - giving 25k to suicide bombers who killed innocent people and he hated the US). The other choice was to invade Irag try to build a safe democracy, but take the chance it would create chaos in Irag, kill thousands of people and devastate our economy.
Bush didn't lie - he made the decision (based on Intelligence saying Irag had WMD's - Clinton agreed Irag had WMD's, so did England, even France agreed) to go to war in Iraq because he thought it was more dangerous to take the chance that Saddam had WMD's and might give his WMD's to terrorists to use against us).
If 9/11 didn't happen then Bush would not have gone into Irag.
If you remember right after 9/11, Bush was asked why he was doing this and doing that - like getting the military ready to invade Afghanistan and later capturing and holding terrorists and suspected terrorists without being charged and using phone companies to track suspected terrorists - no one objected about these things right after 9/11 - right after 9/11 we were knocked flat on our backs, we were scared, we were afraid to fly and didn't even know if we could laugh (Letterman - ( a week after 9/11) asked the American people if he could tell jokes again) . And Bush responded fervently and passionately over and over again 'My job is to PROTECT the American people, and I'm going to do whatever it takes to do that'.
Everyone wanted and needed to hear that from him. Bush had 90% approval ratings right after 9/11 and he took it to heart that his job was to protect the American people and I believe he still has 9/11 burned into his mind today and he won't take a chance on having the American people being hurt by a terrorists attack again.
I think it's time for a new president, which will be better in a lot of ways. Bush has made a lot of mistakes which has caused a lot of problems and it's time for a new president to take over. If terrorists had an A-bomb with them on 9/11/2001, do you think they would have used it to destroy New York City? I believe Bush thought that, and based his decisions with Iraq on that.
Bush has made some bad decisions trying to protect the American people, but he didn't lie - he did what he thought was best for our country.
I'm not Republican or Democrat, I'm Independent, I may vote for Obama. I would like to for a lot of reasons and if Obama were running against Bush again. I would probably vote for Obama, because I believe it's time for a new president.
I think we won't know for 50 years or more if Bush's decision to go to war in Iraq was good for any reason, (it looks bad now, maybe getting better, but it's still very dangerous over there there's a lot of chaos and it's killing people and hurting our ecomomy). Harry Truman had a worse approval rating than Bush (Harry Truman had an 23% approval rating), over 50 years ago, but is now considered a good president. I hope things will get better in Iraq and the middle East and things will become stable and people will have safe democracies over there and women will have the same rights as men and be treated well. go to school, not be beaten by their husbunds when it's basically accepted, be able to be educated and vote in Arab countries.
Bush has made a lot of mistakes, but he didn't lie to get us into War. There were many reasons we went to war in Iraq, the main reason that Bush had was to protect the American people.
If 9/11 didn't happen we wouldn't have gone to war in Iraq.

If 9/11 didn't happen we wouldn't have gone to war in Iraq.
actually I strongly disagree,....911 gave him partial reason,....and not a good enough one either or he wouldn't have dredged up that 10 year incident of Sadam gassing his own people,...
what is truely mind boggeling is how many people are able to consider this without the fact that he was the US's Sadam at the time,...funded by the US and weaponized by the US,...
If people can overlook this and so many other fact now,....while he's still running things,... It scares me to think how history will remember him,.... and what does that say about history in general,....
They say history is written by those that win but,.... created, and re-written by those that are the loudest is more likely,....
I can't help wondering if this is a new thing or if it has always been like that,....

| Senate proves Bush lied us into war. Posted: 7/7/2008 1:10:09 PM | 9/11, tragedy that it was, gave this current administration the coup de grace to use during the war "sales speech".....ie, selling war to the public. Images of it, replayed endlessly, were priceless as far as getting the public whipped up into the modern-day equivalent of a furious mob practically demanding some Muslims somewhere "pay".
Have you ever heard of the "killing of the king"? As in Downard's (probably wacky-sounding, admittedly, but intriguing nonetheless) theory about JFK's murder? That it (like 9/11 long after it) was a sort of public display of an occult ritual designed to traumatize the masses and thus make them psychologically pliable...
I remember actually seeing stickers on cars & trucks around here back then that read, "Support the Troops, Remember 9/11 -- Payback is a B_tch". But payback to whom?? They were missing the fact that the ones who did it were stateless individuals ... tantamount to an international crime ring. There was no Japan to hang this one on. No capital to take, nor peace treaty to be wrenched out of any foreign emperor after bombing them senseless.
Couple the general shell shock from 9/11 having just happened, with some deliberately misleading "bad intell", and the Congress (already suspicious about Saddam, Dem & Repub alike in many cases, for yrs) was a sure signatory for "authorization of force" ........although I believe many of the Dems who voted for it at least were hoping it would be a bit more of a last resort type of thing as opposed to a foregone conclusion. Rather like if your teenage son or daughter comes to you saying, I want to go overnight this weekend to ___ wherever. You say no I'd rather you didn't , or , let me think about it. He responds, Well I'm going either way, just so you know. Then you know you've got an "issue" developing...

The real enemy is Islamic Fascism, and dictators intent on killing their own innocent people ans a matter of policy. Funny we are still in JAPAN, KOREA,GERMANY, BOSNIA....what is our exit strategy there? Funny, all Sadam had to do was genuinely come clean......................... Oh I am sorry, ONLY Bush, all Republicans, and Rush, are responsible for for all the death in Iraq..................................................................................................
One Obama is president.......let us see how fast he brings all the troops home........... Remember do your homework, and when Iraq oil is available....don't buy it...... God bless ALL our Armed Forces....thank you that my daughter will never wear a burka, unless SHE wants to..... PS .... Iwould still fight to defend all of the stupid posts most of you have put up, you DO have that right because of the sacrifice of so many.
