Posted: 7/15/2008 6:42:50 AM | This band is one of the best I have heard around here in a long time! People are friendly (just stay away from Sid and you will be ok). Dang I love giving him crap! If you talk to the folks there you will have a good time. If you sit in a corner (like I did the first time) then you will be disappointed. The food is great too so get there and have a burger early with me and some others. I will be there around 7. I would be happy to introduce you around.

angel, angel, angel....wake up!!!  u've met at least 3 people!!! there's me and mark   (he was at funky town with me, remember?), then there's paws (pam) and jj, and of course mr. moonshine and D_A_M. i THINK u met them at funky town anyway.  then there's at least 2 others i can think of....kdbugg & eric and charlene & mr. savage, who i don't know if u met or not. can't speak for the others, but i'm blissfully happy!!! 
and i WILL be bringing my camera.....i'll be the one sneakin round catchin any thieves on FILM that might wanna infiltrate our group again!!  the sons of BI#CHES!  just another harsh reminder for everyone to keep their belongings safe..... | |

girls......don't just wait for an event, although it's a great avenue for meeting someone...i'm just sayin don't be afraid of contacting guys u think u might wanna get to know....i RARELY ever contacted anyone; usually left it up to the guy.....but this rare time i did paid off BIG time for me!!

My body Guard won't be there but know I am in safe hands with this group. Dance nightly and beautiful lady, sure would love to learn the electric glide. Angels on high, miss you all and ready to party with you and the rest of my new/old friends. Gummi, save me a dance or I'll hang on you all night! Dam and Moonshine, OMG! Haven't seen you since the wonderful weekend at woodstock, Let's party!
Anyone reading this and haven't came out to party with us, Get with it! This is a great bunch of people! I was alone after my husband died for two years before I decided I had enough and went out to a POF function and they welcomed me into the fold with open arms. I am so glad I did (tear check). Thank you all for being my friends and good, good people. If you see me, hollar, psws, paws, hey you, and I'll smile, wave and dance with you, male or female, who cares, lets have fun! | |

I never payed for water there. And my soda that is only 1.50 anyway was free a couple times, the waitress gave it to me.

However, you all made me feel extremely welcome to all the events I've been to, well, the four I've been to anyway. RG's is a great place to have fun, drink, and dance! Get out all your dancin shoes!

I think you're a liar. 
One thing that helped me when I first started attending online singles gatherings (10 years ago) is that I made myself meet 5 new people at each event -- men, women...didn't matter, as long as I met 5. You can't wait for people to approach you - you need to be assertive and approach them. It's pretty easy at RG's because of the long tables -- just change seats a lot!
With all the "newbies" I'm finding that I need to start my "meet 5 new people" plan again! | |

Posted: 7/18/2008 1:18:47 PM | OK... I went in and deleted all the tip talk, the talk mentioning car bars, sneaking stuff in and all other negative posts. This isn't meant to be a bitch and moan thread. We are all adults and need to be step up to the plate and do the right thing... whatever that is  . I know and expect the bars/clubs and the staffs of those places we go to, to do what ever they need to do to survive. If free water is that big an issue to someone, then they can stay home and drink all the free water they want, even though technically it isn't even free at home. Do you pay a water bill? Do you have a water filtering system of some kind at home? I have both so I know my own water at home isn't even free . RG's is a great little place. It's non-smoking, no cover, has live music, serves decent food and the drink prices are reasonable... oh and the wait staff has really been great to us there and they give us specials when we go. So let's stop complaining and get back to promoting a good time. You can please some people some of the time but never please all the people all of the time.  | |
