| Dating Male Virgins Posted: 6/6/2005 7:04:31 PM | Good post dennison. I am the same age you are and I am still a virgin too. I am tired of people bashing males that are still virgins at this age and up...just because they havent had sex yet does NOT mean that they have problems or issues. This is total BS and im tired of women thinking that men have bad problems and are losers as a result of not having sex before reaching such a late age. Maybe some guys dont want a relationship, or like some have said havent found the RIGHT one to share it with. Or perhaps they are late bloomers and havent had the chance to experience such yet. And with some women talking how they dont have 'patience' or dont want to 'teach a guy with no experience', how the HECK will these type guys get any kind of experience? Nothing but Catch-22 crap.
I guess in this day and age its dangerous to be a virgin because so many women like to bash men from 25 into their late 30's just because they feel that they are not capable to get laid and therefore get judged harshly as having problems and issues when that may even not be the case.

| Dating Male Virgins Posted: 6/8/2005 10:52:14 PM | | Honestly, MsPicky is correct. There are issues there. I know where you guys are coming from, and all I can do is warn you that you aren't looking at this correctly. Your religious beliefs are yours, but women are women and they do make dating decisions with sex-appeal prominently in mind. ALL women do. Being a virgin isn't your problem, but you guys are telling similar stories which basically spell out that you have trouble BUILDING relationships with women. It's not normal to just meet someone and you just "connect" so easily. Even in your religious beliefs, is this principle not obvious? Were you born faithful, or did you learn to be faithful? Did you build a relationship with God, or did you just "connect" without any effort? If you plan to be a virgin when you marry, then only marry a virgin. If you aren't a virgin for religious reasons, don't hide behind the rationale that you just haven't met "the right person". Do you decide that you want sex, or are you DRIVEN to have sex? You can't rationalize this sort of thing. Don't deny the fact that your interest in women is PRIMARILY sexual. You weren't all choked up about women when you were 7, but when puberty hit, all of a sudden girls mattered to you. Why? Because you wanted sex. You just see a woman and you want to sleep with her. It doesn't matter what you say. That's how it works. Men in the church aren't any different than regular men really. Guys in the church get married primarily because they feel the need for sex. I've been there and seen that, and you can't miss the motives. The issue is this: are you not finding a woman who is right for you, or are you actually not able to attract any woman to you? I'm not talking about looks, just your person. Any man who's managed to sleep with a woman in his adult life without the use of alcohol or manipulation has actually accomplished much more than you guys seem to realize. | |

| Dating Male Virgins Posted: 6/8/2005 11:08:47 PM | | Come on...why should women have patience? How do they even know that you'll listen? And do you really want to listen? It's not so easy to teach a person this sort of thing. Women have NEEDS and wants. Do you ever want to date 15 year old girls? I don't, and you know why? Besides the fact that they look immature, they ARE immature. But when I was 15, they were hot. Some of these girls have probably been with more guys than I'll ever be with women, but they are still immature. For the same reason that you don't go after 15 year old girls, the VAST majority of women will not go after a many who is in his mid to late twenties and is still a virgin. Seriously, the longer you hold out from sex, the less you actually are able to pick up on what to do. Women know this already, and most really can't deal with it. That's why they say that they just don't have the patience. Adult men aren't as easy to teach as are younger men. Seriously think about that. Yes, it is a catch-22, but a guy is almost always in this position because of his own choices. And think about it: virginity at a latter age is a VERY reliable indicator of how capable a man is in forming relationships with women. Again, I know this personally. | |

| Dating Male Virgins Posted: 6/15/2005 8:31:17 PM | | to reply to the statement made by marquin hey i waited till i was 20 not for religous reasons but ive had girls brake up with because i didnt want to have sex right away ,,but your statement of not being bad the first time by getting better as the night goes on totally wrong bro no you dont get better thru the night the first time i had sex 6 times that night but the fact is it was all in like 45 minutes and took a couple weeks of like 8 or 9 times a night. im a sensual guy and learned that girls dont always want to be made love too they need a nice hard fxcking sometimes and the only real way to please a woman is if she is in touch with her body if she doesnt know what makes her feel good and what spots to hit and you do make her cum,its basically like shooting at target in the dark you dont hit the bullseye hardly often enough. | |

| Dating Male Virgins Posted: 3/7/2007 1:29:54 PM | I have dated 3 virgins and I'm getting to the point that if I meet anymore of them I think I will rip my hair out. One of them was normal and just hadn't found the right girl and was quite the natural I must say but the other two had baggage out the wazoo. Scared of getting hurt, nerosis, panic about doing the act its self...I don't mind teaching someone the ropes or taking things slow but after how strange the last one was I may institute a no vigin policy from now on as many of my gf do. In general, I don't think getting with a virgin is a bad idea but you need to get to know whether the person is a head case first before getting involved with them. There are many that are just waiting for that special someone, which I think is admirable, but then there are the others that have lots of hang ups, issues, even try to tell you they're still a virgin thru some loophole (which is what the last guy did). He was also very religious which is why he freaked out I'm guessing after we had sex even though he said he wanted to. | |

""...at my age, I encounter a man who's close to my age and still a virgin, he has some serious issues that I don't want to stick around for."
sorry but that is BS. Just because someone is a virgin over a certain age does not necessarily mean they have serious issues. In some cases this is true but not in all cases.
that is quite a tough blanket-like statement, isn't it? A good buddy of mine is 39, and simply hasn't FOUND the right one yet. That's nothing to judge a man (or woman) for, is it?
Well said. Just because has chosen not to jump frpm bed to bed does not mean they have issues. It just means they have morals and have learned to respect others and themselves. there is nothing the matter with that.

| Dating Male Virgins Posted: 3/7/2007 4:00:06 PM | As many times as almost this exact thread pops up on POF, as much as some people would like to say male virgins are unusual, I'm beginning to get the opposite impression. As far as being older (such as my 33) and being one and not having kissed, I think its fair to say there are likely some sort of issues (I know I have my own), but not necessarily anything major, just things that never were dealt with - a lot of people don't have any incentive or way to deal with some issues, if there is no obvious available potential that suggests they need to do so.
As for another post here referring to getting to know if a guy is a headcase before getting involved with him (the guy was a virgin) ... I think you pretty much ALWAYS want to do that kind of pre-planning, don't you?
|
| Dating Male Virgins Posted: 3/7/2007 4:01:31 PM | I wouldn't for 2 reasons
First..I definitely prefer a man with experience and 2nd.....I'd hate to be known as..... The De-Virginator

| Dating Male Virgins Posted: 3/7/2007 5:05:15 PM | | People ****in piss me off. How can you judge someone you have never even met before???!!! If i am going to judge somebody, anybody, I have to have met them first. I am 19, are you going to judge me because I am a virgin?? You don't even know me, so don't go there. Before judging anyone, try being that person for a day. Too bad that's impossible. Next time you judge anybody, at least meet the person first for fcuks sake. I am a virgin cause there is more to life than sex. Love does not equal sex, not by any means. Try watching the 40 year old Virgin. I know, it makes a caricuture out of older virgins (he rides a bike) but he was a good guy. Anyone can be a great person, you just have to give them a chance. Some of the best people you will ever meet in your life might not seem like it at first. They could seem awkward, or weird, but they can be wonderful people. Ok, I'm sick of ranting. | |

| Dating Male Virgins Posted: 3/7/2007 11:18:20 PM | virginity has damaged me hardcore for the following reasons....
1) there are ppl who were in kindergarten when i started highschool who can get laid and i still cant.
2) sex is always rubbed in my face...every ****ing person i talk to has done it and theyre all ****ing younger than me.
3) im a virgin but im a very sexual person sex is not a fiddle dee dee it happens when it happens type deal..i ache inside and out day in day out and knowing my sexual peak is going to waste but theres nothing i can do about it makes me wanna ****ing kill myself....
all these things eqaul 1 thing....a bad ****ing self esteem which leads to depression which leads to poor physical health..lack of sleep ulcers fatigue and in time death.

| Dating Male Virgins Posted: 3/7/2007 11:25:45 PM | Oh I'd be out to pop that facker faster than he can say his own name! Are you kidding me? You can train him to what you like. Sigh... if only there were virgins in their 30's. | |

| Dating Male Virgins Posted: 3/8/2007 12:11:35 AM | Umm - you're talking to one right here.
36, was someone's rebound for 3 weeks - 10 years ago. Since then, been the Friend/Brother - but *nothing* else.
Definition of virginity - complete virgin (done absolutely nothing). Last time I kissed a woman was the rebound thing 10 years ago, so in effect - that is distant memory.
Upping the ante -what do you ladies feel about a guy who not only hasn't partaken of PIV (the technical virgin), but hasn't held hands, kissed, or really done *anything*?

| Dating Male Virgins Posted: 3/8/2007 11:10:42 AM | | i agree with huggy's comment i ****ing hate it but i agree with it....the older you get the harder it is to pick things up..they say the human mind developes until 25 now that im 25 my mind has transformed from a spunge to a cinder block...so ppl should never encourage ppl to wait we should encourage our kids to have sex from the time they hit pueberty. | |
