Most of us could have sex everynight, but we would have to look in the mirror in the morning and we have visions of random strangers..............nah, I don't think so. When my final resume' comes out, I don't want i to read I boinked every  I could. Some people might go for that record, but is would not be what I wanted to be known for. | |

Posted: 6/23/2008 5:07:03 PM | I was thinking, suppose it happened like this. One person invites the other to a party that some friends are having (so now they're out on a date). When they get there, there's a hot tub and people are using it. There's no compulsion, some people are getting in the tub but others aren't. One member of the couple says to the other, "It looks like fun, wanna do it?"
It would certainly make it more interesting if swimsuits weren't required (maybe the hosts offer to loan suits to people who want them, but not everyone feels the need). But even then, I could imagine one person looking at the other and saying, "I don't want to wear a suit. Do you mind?" Again, no compulsion, seeing your date nude might be OK with some people, and getting nude yourself might be OK with some people too. I imagine a lot depends on the atmosphere, how many of the people know each other and what the relationship of the first-daters is in daily life--if they work at adjacent desks, perhaps nudity is a bad idea! But I definitely don't think that getting naked with someone automatically means saying yes to sex. That's another matter completely.
And this is the Over 45 page. Are people that age more or less inhibited, versus the younger crowd? | |

I'd have to say yes.
I joined sex club a few months ago, most of the members are in their forties.
It's been quite an experience to participate in some of the activities.
People are often naked but for most people, sex is harder to initiate than shedding clothes. | |

After you do it a few times, or many times, it's just not such a big deal any more. Each of us has the one body we're ever going to have, and as far as good impressions are concerned, I think self-acceptance is an attractive feature, and likewise acceptance of another person. Anyway, if we want to get into relationships, the mutual view of flesh has to happen eventually, so if they're going to run away screaming, they might as well do it at the start and not clutter up our life. | |

...Your absolutely right, and I agree.....getting naked with a man.... enjoying one another's body is something I look forward to and I intend to make it happen...when the time is right and with the right man.

We would solve lots of problems:
1. If you had the classic "what not to wear" troubles, you would be just YOU without the jeans that make your butt look too big
2. We could do away with the issue of "dresses too young" or "dresses too old"
3. No nasty distractions that come along with all the other first date ideas (noisy waves as you hold hands and walk along the beach, who goes out to buy the fourth bottle of wine as you sit in front of the fire sipping wine, do I really have to call a paramedic for him after all he should have told me he had never been rock climbing)
4. You would have to get over the body image thing.
5. Playing field would be leveled for 'stuffers' (boobs, crotches) -- really, what is the point of that?
6. Clothing expenses would be more affordable -- all those dating clothes GONE | |
