One problem with a dating site is that there is the expectation that a contact is oriented towards moving towards a date or whatever. Personally, I like to have a pretty good idea of a woman's thoughts, background and likely interests before I think about dates, and that usually requires a bit of conversation. If I want to chat up someone to get a feel for what they are like, it doesn't necessarily mean that I will propose a date. There are also lots of women that I find interesting but would not likely wish to date for various reasons. So, what would be more convenient in some ways would be a chat room that you can develop your relationship within before having the implication of a date hanging over you. | |

Now I would invite a lady to bring her suit if we had gotten to know each other fairly well. A glass of wine in a 103 degree tub in the winter in Minnesota is a true slice of heaven.  | |

If you are attracted to someone, feel comfortable with them and you want sex and you DON'T do it, then YOU are just playing games. Anyone that judges you positively or negatively based on when you have sex with them isn't worth it anyway. And you shouldn't judge yourself either. I say grow up people!..we are living, breathing, SEXUAL beings. ..AND, I would invite anyone I like back to my hot tub..doesn't necessarily mean sex....I know how it is maintained because I take care of it..and if by chance it gets messy, I can drain it and clean it . I pay my water bill. I might think twice about getting into a public hot tub...and FYI, a hot tub might be a good place to start, but it isn't the greatest place for sex...hard to keep the condom on (wink)... if anything it isn't a good date because it's hard to talk in there over all the noise, but it is relaxing....or not... depending on the company! Let's hear it for the (non-trampy) women who aren't afraid to get in a hot tub and not afraid be sexual and SAFE. | |

...I have been hot tubbing in the middle of winter....in Alberta, Canada haha....The night I was out it was almost magical with a light snow coming down, the steam off the water and a nice glass of white wine....and a swimsuit.

Indeed. All of this stuff about rules and the expression of fears as to the possibility of being taken in my horny male geriatrics are, to my mind, simply defenses by frightened people. I suppose some have a reason to be frightened, but if you are not capable of judging people to some reasonable degree, and not capable of appreciating you own physical desires and accepting your own responsibility for what happens to you by this age, when, exactly, do you think you will be able to do these things? When you are 80? 90? Probably won't be much of an issue then. In the interim, a lot of water will have flowed through hot tubs you will not have been in......
I can personally attest to the fact that sitting in a hot tub on a clear January night with a glass of wine and a pleasant companion is something not to be missed. If you can do it naked, its even better, not because of the possible sex, but because of the feelings in your body. | |

I haven't seen the profile in question, but keep in mind that POF asks you to describe your ideal first date. Some people run with the idea and put something out there that they know may not be possible. My answer is, only if I'm comfortable with the person inviting me. I certainly don't want to have to fend off someone while I'm all wet and slippery! I'm not so worried about the body image because once you are seated in the tub, most of you is hidden and what floats to the top might be one (or two) of your best assets  | |

If the water was 104 and no suits were permitted due of course to the fact that soaps in garments may cause damage to the filter.....Hell yes I would. No better way to get to know someone.
Have I ever invited a woman on the first "date" into my Hot Tub? Do I really desire my nose to grow any longer?.....Nope I certainly don't. On this the 5th is required.

I chatted with a woman on here for months, my daughter was in TN with her hubby and I was going down there for a visit. The lady from AL insisted we meet finally and that TN was 1/2 way. Ok I bit the hook..
I got in the town we agreed upon, called ms Xand let her know I was in town..she said to come over to her hotel which was on the oposite side of town. I bit the hook deeper..
ms X says: just come to room 302 and walk in the door woudl be unlocked..
This hook is way deep by now..the bait is all but swallowed whole..
I arrive, walk the stairs, find the door, walk in and there she is...
in all her glory ....naky and in the jacuzzi tub, drink in hand and smiling..no this was not a dream, true story..

Oh Mae, I've been hot tubbing in the middle of winter too, but that was in Florida. I had the magic, the steam, the glass of vino and the swimsuit....... pure heaven or so I thought..........I also had the crickets, the flying roaches and the mosquitos........Strange, does not seem to have the same sex appeal now does it!! LMAO

...No it doesn't and I know what you mean. My sister lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba and they have misquitos the size of a Sikorsky helicopters. Its a b!tch to sit outside in the hot tub.

Ofcourse I'm not with her..but it was a weekend of laughs, grins and yes a lusty aroma filled the room.
1. she was too young at 40.
2. she lived 4 states away.
