Ok Taurus516.... here goes

You are prone to indigestion
You are prone to bad circulation in your legs
Dec 29, 2001 Major catastrophe or conflict in a relationship with power struggles(within a couple of weeks) If that wasn't the final blow, then it happened on June 18, 2002 or so...

The crappy relationship your parents had (aggressive father) has made you very cautious about starting relationships. Your emotions are withdrawn. Or you are "desperate".

You annoy people by not caring about their opinions.
You never say "sorry"
You are very persuasive, can make most people go along with whatever you want.
You are usually burnt out at the end of a work day. You burn too much mental energy.
You have a bad temper.
You prefer to work with your mind than your hands.
March 2005 - Jan 2007 You have been looking to OPEN YOUR MIND.... studying astrology, taking drugs, interest in meditation

Anyway, please be honest....

Critique this for me, please

Well, as a great believer in Free Will, I don't have a lot of faith in Astrology as far as individuals having a pre-ordained future is concerned. However, in terms of providing interesting information as to preferences and general tendancies of the individual may be concerned, it is a source of mild interest. There's probably something to it, as it developed simultaneously across the planet and many unrelated cultures have a history of astrological study.

There is an old line, "The stars do not compel, they impel" No one is apparently forced into their own future, but they may be impelled in a given direction and it is up to them to decide what to do, etc. Where astrologers get into difficulty is in trying to interpret the scope itself. There are several methods of cast a natal chart involving house allotment (some have each house with 30 degrees, others use a different method which results in unequal allowances for each house). The results would be wildly different. Also, there's theories out about the signs gradually slipping resulting in each one now is out of tune with our calendars. This would have an effect on the casting as well.

For myself, I had a natal chart cast by a graduate of the Royal Astological Society, some years back. I am a Cancer, with a Scorpio Ascendant, and Moon in Cancer. This turns out to be very accurate, in my own opinion as to my taste and tendencies. So, while I don't think I have a pre-ordained future, I have some agreement with the idea that my taste and areas of interest may be influenced by the planets.

Who knows?

OK,indigestion yes,bad circulation in legs no.Outside of injuries from a 1992 car accident and surgery,I'm in excellent shape. The dates you give are interesting. From December of '01 to January '02 was the last month my mom was alive.I guess you could say there was a power struggle of sorts with our parents' property and their debts.June of '02 I was severing any business ties I had with my sister as in the previous years we had pooled our resources to help each other and had worked together to make our parents' last months comfortable. It was a severly stressful time

My parents' relationship had it's dysfunctions but I wouldn't call it crappy. They loved each other very much and went the distance when it counted. My dad was an alcoholic, but that didn't make him an evil man.It just made him a man with an illness.I am cautious of relationships and I feel that's just common sense.I wouldn't say my emotions are withdrawn,I would say controlled and reserved.I laugh,I cry,I get mad like everybody else.I do respect another's opinion, yet when I feel it has some sort of flawed logic or it is in diametric oposition to my own,I will strongly state so,as you can see in many of my forums.I always try to use respect for the person's opinions and even if i differ,I try to look at it from their perspective, even though to me I'm being the Devil's Advocate.I will apologize if I have wronged anyone.I have no problem with this, though at times it may be difficult to convice me that I have erred.I admit I'm a bit stubborn and I can be obstinate. As far as being persuasive, maybe if the person has a predisposition to side with me anyway, but if I had the power to make people go along with what I want,I would've figured a way to get more money.

I seldom feel burned out at the end of a workday.I usually go to the gym every night after work and when I get home it's several hours before I sleep. My fiance can attest to that,I usually go on around 4 or 6 hours of sleep a night. Some occasions I get 8 but it's very seldom in one sitting I usually wake several times a night.I do burn both mental and physical energy at work.I don't have a bad temper.I get impatient at times with things that just seem silly to me.Bad traffic pisses me off.Stupidity pisses me off,but I don't yell at people or berate them.I seldom argue and the only time I would fight is if I'm attacked.

I work equally with my mind and my hands. My job requires both technical and artistic skill as well as good bit of physical strength and agility.Yet you would be right that outside of my field,I am an uncoordianted, inept clutz.I could never be a craftsman.I'm dangerous with power tools, yet if I had chosen physics as my career,I would be able to tell you everything about how they work.

March 2005-2007?March this year the only thing I have been seriously studying is getting a mortgage on my house and my girlfriend legal to work here. Now if you had said 1975 to 1977 I was taking drugs, studying astrology and meditating you would've been right.

I am a metal ox Aquarian with a Virgo moon and Aries/Taurus cusp ascendant. I have turned people on to purchasing certain books on the subject per their uncanny accuracy and my 21 year old uses it to gauge his relationships with family and friends..so, yeah..I have been an avid fan of this theoretical science for some years now. Check out 'The Only Astrology Book You Will Ever Need' by Joanna Martine Woolfolk for starters and get a free astral chart on AstroDienst.com. Must know your birth time. Hope you figure it all out. How would you ever decide. What sort of evidence would convince you? I'm willing to bet that no matter what anyone else said about Astrology, you would still say, "I don't know". So, how do you find out? Get your horoscope drawn up by a pro, and make sure you get him to write out in detail for you what it means, all of the aspects and house placement and so forth. Make sure you know the time you were born, and the exact place. Without these data, it won't work out.

Once you have it cast, then make your mind up,on the basis of your own personal experience. Nothing else will ever work.

Ed:

High five on that one buddy! Some people are so convinced that there's no merit to astrology, that they spend their time looking for flaws instead of statistically relevant facts. I used to be a hardcore athiest, and I would just deny everything that a theist would say. I feel like Karma is being dealt back to me now for being so closed-minded in my youth.

Getting a pro to do up a chart is one sure way to blow anybody's mind! I'm glad someone in here is on the same page as me. Thanks again, Ed.

Luvjoy:

Great book, "The only astrology book you'll ever need" It was my second book on the subject that I read. It's great for a beginner! Very insightful. Doesn't cover Nodes and the house system is wacked, but still, very good book. Got me hooked!

Just a few notes for Taurus 516

>OK,indigestion yes (virgo ascendant, you're probably also very tidy too...)

>bad circulation in legs no.(hmmm, strong Aquarian traits.... maybe feet cold alot?)

>From December of '01 to January '02 was the last month my mom was alive.I guess you
>could say there was a power struggle of sorts with our parents' property and their
>debts.June of '02 I was severing any business ties I had with my sister as in the previous
>years we had pooled our resources to help each other and had worked together to make our
>parents' last months comfortable. It was a severly stressful time

Hmmmm.... interesting.... should have connected Pluto's energy with death, as well as power struggles. I'm biased due to Pluto running across my own full moon combo last year. All I dealt with was power struggles.

>My dad was an alcoholic, but that didn't make him an evil man. It just made him a man with
>an illness.

Fair enough. I just saw the "mother" part of your chart conflicting with a very aggressive Mars (in aries)

>I am cautious of relationships and I feel that's just common sense.I wouldn't say my
>emotions are withdrawn,I would say controlled and reserved.

I said "Your emotions are withdrawn." Close enough for me.
Alot of people don't use common sense when it comes to relationships. You've built a filter.

>I always try to use respect for the person's opinions and even if i differ,I try to look at it
>from their perspective, even though to me I'm being the Devil's Advocate.

Doesn't sound like you enjoy listening to others' opinions if they differ from your own. Your Virgo Ascendant gives you tact, though.

>I will apologize if I have wronged anyone.I have no problem with this, though at times it may
>be difficult to convice me that I have erred.
>I admit I'm a bit stubborn and I can be obstinate

Sounds like Taurus stubbornness, that's for sure! lol

>I would've figured a way to get more money.

lmao.... oh yeah, you're a Taurus!

>I don't have a bad temper.I get impatient at times with things that just seem silly to me.Bad
>traffic pisses me off.Stupidity pisses me off,but I don't yell at people or berate them.I
>seldom argue and the only time I would fight is if I'm attacked.

I have a snot-dripping alpha male temper myself, but have only thrown 1/2 dozen punches in last decade. Having self-control doesn't mean it's not there.

>you would be right that outside of my field,I am an uncoordianted, inept clutz.I could never
>be a craftsman.I'm dangerous with power tools, yet if I had chosen physics as my career,I

I didn't take to time to rewind your chart 30 years. Not getting paid to do this.....
I said that during this period you would take an interest in Astrology, meditation, drugs....
We're only a few months into that transit, and already you're debating astrology with me. Hmmmmm......

Well, would you say that there is at least SOME merit to astrology then? I'm only a little kid with a plastic hammer, trying to rebuild an airplane, so to speak, when it comes to chart analysis. Imagine hiring a pro!

How about delusional? Do you not even see the post hoc fallacious reasoning of your last post? Holy moly my mouth is agape. Every miss, and there were a lot, you are dismissing by saying, oh yeah, well, you must have an acension in blah blah blah. I recommend a course in critical thinking.

How does one find out thier exact time of birth? My parents forget, and the hospital I was born in has been torn down.

For time of birth, refer to city you were born in and you should be able get a copy of your birth certificate through their admin. bldg or you may have to get the records through the capitol of you birth state...could take a while though. also, the bc may not show birth time. Good luck!

Dear Creepy"

The problem you run into is that the planets are moving (relative to the centre of the earth), and the degrees change as quickly as every 15 minutes! Keep bothering you mom (i.e was it morning or afternoon, etc. Get it as close as you can. You could try and call the Provincial Ministry of Health, and find out where the records were sent from your original hospital. They exist in some archive somewhere.

Memories can fade (and apparently have) but see what you can with dad as well. You know "Did you have breakfast before going to the hospital, or was it night time when I was born, and so forth?". Nail it down as best you can. Check with the Astrologer and see what sorts of differences a few hours might make. Some days the changes will be greater than others over the course of the day. The main difficulty will be placement of the moon at birth with a time discrepancy, as it moves so quickly.

Good luck!!

The best way to nail down your time of birth is to actually study some of the ascendant signs that could have applied to you at your time of birth. One with jump out at you for sure. After that, try rotating your chart a little bit within that sign to see when other planets cross over into different houses. I've had some excellent luck with this in the past. Usually if a planet like uranus is near a cusp, it becomes very obvious which side it belongs on. Uranus is a good one to use because it causes sudden upheavels and rapid changes of circumstances as well as a fair bit on confrontation. Saturn works well too, because it has a strong restrictive influence on whatever house it touches. Once you have that down, try seeing the angles that your planets make to the midheaven and horizon. Should have it down to about 5 minutes at that point. Rest is up to you to feel out.

Best of luck.

PS.... Here, in Canada, many hospitals don't even record the time of birth on a birth certificate. Mine doesn't have it.

There are hits and misses and that one is a BIG miss.I'm not convinced. You've got some good generalizations that law of averages would net you 50%.You got less than 30% by my judge.I say maybe there might be something to it,but it belongs to one of those right brained things you can't exactly figure out.Like my girl friend has this what I'll call "talent".She gets hunches about money situations.Sometimes she'll get this urge to buy a scratch off lottery ticket.I've seen her turn 5 bucks into 50 in a matter of 20 minutes like this. She can't do lotto numbers or anything big,she just gets these gut insticts and goes with them.I can't do squat with intuition,I really understand the band's name Third Eye Blind. If it's not spelled out to me,especially in a visual,it goes by me.If there's anything to astrology it's in the subjective mind, not the objective.

I'm open mindedly skeptical.

maybe feet cold alot?) Nope. After reading some information about restless leg syndrome,I think I suffer an occasional episode with that.I used to get pins and needles in the feet after my 1992 car accident.Herniated discs in the low back pinching on the sciatic nerve, but since my surgery in 1995,I don't suffer that anymore.

Then don't look for meaning in the horoscopes in the newspaper. They do a HUGE disservice to the credibility of astrology. As I have said before, we have 11 major and several minor signs. Your sun sign is important, yes, but no more so than your moon or ascendant or north node. Check out www.astro.com if you want a more detailed interpretation. The 3 books I highly recommend for chart analysis are:

Planets in Aspect - Robert Pelletier (great for analyzing a birth chart)

Planets in Transit - Robert Hand (great for understanding upcoming trends in your life)

Astrology for the Soul - Jan Spiller (deals with North Node, great for understanding your purpose)
