I had my son about four years ago and before that I was the typical 5,11 size six legs for days kind of girl. My sex life was ok but by no means great.I lost his father when I was only 4 months pregnant. Make a long story short I gained weight and am now a size 14. I have recently started to date again and I was recently with a younger guy and he seemed to love the fact that I had a tummy. Is this normal or was he just a one in a million type of guy?
well I dont know about younger guy ...as they tend to be a bit shallow ...but as I have said many times before ..."chubby chicks rock" and here is why ..and there are exceptions so im not trying to offend anyone ...like the younger guys ..slim and fit chicks tend to be shallow ..i guess its human nature ..if you think you look good its hard to not think you are better than others
no I will admit I profile and when i see the beauty queen type ...she would have to prove me wrong before i would be interested ...to me vanity is ugly .. i have had much more fun with women who are larger ... now that being said also its hard to find a really big woman who has enough self esteem to be attractive ..but this also has exceptions
so I will say it again ...CHUBBY CHICKS ROCK
I have never had very many girl friends or women who were my friends who had the almost perfect hour glass body ... i am drawn to the more healthy specimen .. and most of the women that I have disdain for their personalities are the ones who society and themselves consider to be of perfect size | |

I think guys that go for teeny girls are just hoping the smaller the girl the bigger their**** look, I am a size ten at 5ft2 and compared to the average size of 14-16 i am not big, but i am in no way skinny, i have a curvy hour glass figure and whenever i talk to guys they always say being with a skinny girl is like ****ing a young boy as they have no curves.
Dont get me wrong i have a lot of skinny friends who are lovely but when they give you a hug and you can see every single rib its a bit too much.
As long as a woman takes care of herself and doesnt lower her standards to go out with a tosspot wh0 has a problem with size then she should be fine and deserves a guy that will love her who may also have a curve or two and knows how it feels like to be put into a catagory of a 'fatty'.
When guys get older they will get love handles and may gain some extra loving , if girls were so obsessed by size no guy over 30 who had a bit of squidge would have a date !

Right, it is a tummy, biologicaly we all have one, particularly women who have ones that expand in order to give space for a developing foetus.
Women are naturaly curvy, its our genetic make up, we carry children in our wombs if it didnt expand to give them room our internal organs would suffocate and we would die, so yeah tummies are a good thing if the human race wants to continue to reproduce.
Hips are also a good thing, they are shaped for women to give birth, yes they expand too when neccessary.
Look back through history, our ancestors from all over the world carved goddess figure shapes from rocks, they had huge tummies, they were looked upon as beautiful, a blessing of fertility, giver of life. Look at the old masters paintings, women were curvy with tummies, breasts and hips how women should be.
Its only the modern day media who have created a new image of how women should look, and its a look that is not achievable for all. This puts pressure on girls and has caused many insecurities leading to eating disorders and mental health issues all because of media pressure to not have the tummy you were designed to have. Guys attitudes on here are appauling, so shallow and even cruel. Is there any need for rudeness? I dont think there is any need to be rude, it is possible for people to state their preferences without being hurtful to others. | |

I guess you've never gone outside of North America. The rest of world is normal, i.e. the average size in China is size 4.
Some small number of men like chubby chicks. Most don't.

They also believed that you could take evil spirits out of your body with leeches and that if you sacrificed an animal, you could appease the gods and have a good harvest. If they did it in ancient times, it's good enough for us! 
I dont think there is any need to be rude, it is possible for people to state their preferences without being hurtful to others.
You say that people should stop being hurtful when people say they don't like women who are fat, but then you have the gall to suggest that there is only one way women should look ("women were curvy with tummies, breasts and hips how women should be.") as though anyone who doesn't meet that standard is a not a woman. We have a word for people who have one standard for themselves and one standard for others. | |

There is a very basic guideline for fit based on a 60-year-old study done by the US Dept. of Commerce.
Unfortunately, the 2,000 women who were measured for that study were mostly young, unmarried, white women according to Ellen Goldsberry, associate professor with The University of Arizona Division of Retailing and Consumer Studies on the university's web site.
That cross-section doesn't begin to touch on the diversity of today's demographics.
Also, this old data is out-of-sync with the way women have increased in size: in 1941 the average woman was 5' 2", 129 pounds. Today she is 5' 4" and weighs 144 lbs (wearing between a 12 and 14).

In early days, the rich didn't have to go work in the fields, so tans indicated someone who did outside manual labor. Ladies used umbrellas to avoid the sun and the telling tan. Then came the industrial age where people worked long hours in factories, didn't get much sun, so a tan showed a person could afford to lay around and take sunny vacations. Today tans are "in" but the medical profession is sending messages that tanning is something only the "medically ignorant" do. (trying to discourage it)
Same with weight. In other countries, fat was a symbol of prospertity. Old paintings show Kings, and prominant people that were fat. Today, we have medical standards that say what the average person SHOULD weigh, and the proper proportions. Two thirds of the US is overweight and again, the medical profession is going to promote ads making fat unattractive and detrimental to health, and a major cause of health care costs. I think it was the head of the Cleveland Clinic that said," if everyone was the "proper" weight, and exercised, we could afford to give everyone in the US, health care, for no more than what we are spending today". So weight is going to be a major issue in the health care issue. | |

A few years ago I lost 80 pounds and when from a size 22 to a 14. B/c I lost so much weight, I have a bit of a tummy b/c of the extra skin. Yes, I'm very aware of it and whatnot, I know that if you don't like because of what's on the outside, then you aren't worth getting to know the real me. I know that I'm a lot smaller than I once was, I still feel fat, especially considering most of my girlfriends are tiny little things (no more than 5'2) but you know what? I've got a great man in my life. He loves me for who I am and tells me I'm beautiful every day. He likes "meat" on the bones. He's never been attracted to skin and bones and is happy with how I look and my size and has said many many times that he loves me regardless of my size. | |
