Posted: 6/15/2008 9:11:03 PM | I don't know how you can really feel passion without a meeting in person. To me, passion is when you'd do anything for someone, a burning devotion that makes you feel this is meant to be.
I have, however, seen a look in someone's eye in a picture on POF and had an intuition that we'd really get along, and had a relationship that lasted for months. That happened twice. In both cases we broke up at least partly over where she wanted to live long-term, and in both cases the women were ready to move within a year, which I couldn't because I have two kids in high school.
Maybe the third time could be the charm. I'd trade passion for great communication with someone I think the world of, and vice versa. (But I'd expect wonderful mutual physical attraction, too.) | |

While I don't claim to speak for all the ladies posting in this thread, nor the thousands of others who are members of POF, I will speak for myself in regard to your above comment. I have lots of confidence in regard to the type of man I am looking for, and have no trouble attracting. He is a man who shows enough class not to resort to such infantile, and often derogatory, introductory comments such as the ones you use.

A much better statement (to me) would be to convey "I find you very attractive" And not at the start of the message, but some where along the middle or end. And not in the first post.
