I am not having the blood drive on your picnic on July 19. I am going to have a Picnic on Aug 31. at Philippe Park and the Florida Blood Service are coming with a bloodmobile to accept blood donations. I will take all the suggesting you can give me, on the problems of setting like up.

Just think, even if just some of these people bring friends, it will be a huge event and something this area has needed for a long time. Not sure what I will bring yet, but will let you know. That is so wonderful for you! Don't hear much about "love at first sight" these days. "Lust at first sight", maybe, but that isn't quite the same thing.
If I can be so bold, Did you two meet through this site?
He must be pretty cool to be encouraging you to help set up events where others may have a chance to meet and find what it seems you have found.

Some have asked me what they should bring to the picnic.

Posted: 7/7/2008 5:35:15 AM | I wish there was a feature on here to make a list of what you're bringing. I don't have a clue so far. Some people have told me what they're bringing but very few. I have Twinkletoes' tablecloths so we're good there. *LOL* Today I have 2 of my grandbabies and they're a handful but tomorrow I will email all who are signed up and ask them. I still have some plastic utensils and styrophoam plates. I have a few rolls of paper towels........I'll have name tags and pens......anyone reading this please either post what you're gonna bring or email me and let me know. Thanks.

Posted: 7/10/2008 9:02:14 AM | Someone called me and suggested maybe everyone bring a can of food or a non-perishable food so we could donate to the food drive for those less fortunate. I think it's a good idea. I'll have to try to find a big container to hold it all.
WOW!!.....126 people now!!! I'm really excited! Just a few more days and we're gonna PARTY LIKE ROCK STARS!!!!! *LOL* | |

Posted: 7/12/2008 11:31:24 AM | From past experience as long as everyone makes the effort to fix a dish or bring along something to share there is more than enough food for everyone. No need to stress,just enjoy meeting and greeting everyone!
I will bring a Pasta Salad of some sort and some other sort of finger food. Everyone be responsible for their own 'fine china'!!
Looking forward to have a great time. Anyone up for any games? Anyone got a twister game?
