| why dont most men keep it trimmed ?? Posted: 6/25/2008 1:30:42 AM | Glad to clarify this one, Lass...
I am fastidious about my hygiene and demanding of my mate's state of personal self. Long ago I found myself in an intimate position with a wonderful and squeaky clean girl- This was 20+ years ago in college... She was waitressing... was not a trimmer/shaver- We were both on the ski team together, fitness oriented at the time and therefore keeping hydrated and flushed. She was open enough to realize the truth when I gently told her, that vitamins and everything else in the healthy stuff she was drinking all the time was leaving it's essence in her pubic hair, and no. Washing doesn't get it out of the cuticle of the hair. She gladly and willingly became a shaver, felt decidedly sexier(by her own admission) and our fun together got even better. She always smelled and tasted good "in there" but it became markedly more pleasant for ME to pleasure HER after the hair was gone and I didn't have to smell vitamin metabolites in said hair.
Diet has a lot to do with how you smell, what your body secretes, etc. If you have a place where those kinds of residuals congregate, well, it's like a crack-house. Tear the SOB down and it has to find a new habitat! Shave the beaver and it won't get musky, 10-4?

Its just something society doesn't stress. Normal washing should keep us (both genders) clean enough externally. Body hair is natural, if a lady I'm with suggests it I may well try trimming or shaving south of the navel. Still I don't mind women letting their hair grow out.
Lets face it Cosmo and Glamor have a greater influence on women's self perception than anything I could say. How many ladies shave or trim because some magazine; writer, editor or general manager gives them the idea that that is what society demands of them?
My hairyness is a matter of genetics and societal standards.
I have never read any of the magazines mentioned above.. I started shaving for cleanliness and because I loved the feel.. Thank you to the man that helped me get started! With being shaved.... there are no more hair being pulled during intercourse... omg what a feeling... a mans tongue now reaches all the necessary spots oooo so much better without hair and one more thing... he never has to stop to remove a hair from his teeth!! A trim man.... mmmm I don't have to stop to remove hair from my mouth.... and I don't have to gag on the hair should it reach the back of my throat.... being cleaned... shaved or trimmed truly enhances the sexual experience!! IMO
How does any of that have to do with stress from society?!?!

| why dont most men keep it trimmed ?? Posted: 6/28/2008 6:44:55 PM | | Well I dont know about other men but I trim mine quite often. Not for any other reason then it's itchy for me otherwise. I agree though that if a mans bush is too big maybe you should just let him know he needs to do a lil grooming. It's not that big of a deal. However for the men, do not shave...jus t trim it down short, otherwise it will drive you crazy itchwise.. | |

I agree shaving used too, I save my balls completely, and everything around the base of the shaft,, , if you make that a routine,, they no longer itch,, then I trim the rest,, I must add,, a hot shower and good new razor is needed each time,, followed by a baby lotion ,, it help if a woman applys the lotion,,

| why dont most men keep it trimmed ?? Posted: 6/28/2008 7:29:46 PM | My ex never did "it", but I suspect it has some benefits, as many here have mentioned. During my marriage it was pretty much "gentleman's choice" as far as my 'scaping went. Since being single - regular 'scaping is comfortable and seems a cleaner choice.
I would rather have a man in my life who'd sooner 'manscape' than run off for a manicure or pedicure.
As to why most men don't ... no clue here.

| why dont most men keep it trimmed ?? Posted: 6/29/2008 5:58:28 PM | | If there was a woman in my life and it was in her preference that i be trimed in some cetain maner and style for her satisfaction that would be fine. I am smart enough to know that her happiness and satisfaction is my happiness and satisfaction. I also know that once you start you need to keep it otherwise it is very uncomfortable. So i choose not to start unless it is wanted. However i must admit is very nice to not have to dig hair out of my throat and i appriciate a well groomed woman. | |

| why dont most men keep it trimmed ?? Posted: 6/29/2008 6:31:28 PM | Well, having been in locker rooms throughout my life, it's difficult to avoid seeing others at times. And in my experience, most guys are shaved/trimmed. (I count myself as trimmed/well groomed -- very little pubic hair. Sorry. I know that's TMI for some of you. lol) So, I'm curious where the assumption "most men keep it trimmed" is coming from... | |

| why dont most men keep it trimmed ?? Posted: 6/29/2008 6:32:31 PM | Wow, OMG! I never woulda known..... I've been asked a few times why I don't trim, and I just shrug it off. I'm a man, dammit!!! I see so many posts here of guys that trim, not many fro guys that dont.... well, I dont, but I guess I can try, see how it looks...... I'm not gonna shave it, but I guess I can shorten it up, I'm not sure how to do this....
so, do you trim every day? or just when going on dates? is it itchy? I find the thought of it all funny actually..... we'll
but OP, to answer the question, I dont know. I guess I never thought of trimming as a manly thing to do... I dont know...

| why dont most men keep it trimmed ?? Posted: 6/29/2008 6:56:57 PM | Yeah, I'm the same^^^^^ I have trimmed, but it grows so fast. Personally, I like a bush on women, maybe slight trim way down...... but... I love the tickle on my nose. SOz, I dont think much about trimming. If, however, I was asked to do so, I'd think more often, but it's really been a non-issue. I really dont' care for a bare girl, because day two, she's got stubble, and I HATE stubble .... especially there. | |

| why dont most men keep it trimmed ?? Posted: 6/29/2008 9:00:09 PM | | Yes, makes you appear bigger is good....so it makes me look huge!!!! Seriously though, shaved is too much for me at least, but a nicely trimmed area down there makes me feel better.....don't forget your armpits, and your ears, and your nose, and your nails! Women love a nicely groomed man......smelling good too.... | |

| why dont most men keep it trimmed ?? Posted: 6/29/2008 10:00:42 PM | I once knew a guy who had a mat down there. His pubes were in a little felted ball like on a cat. He refused to cut it because he liked it. Isn't that the weirdest? Yummy. | |

| why dont most men keep it trimmed ?? Posted: 6/29/2008 10:05:27 PM | | That's kinda messed up, I don't really understand people who are really attached to their pubes. We're not talkin like facial hair here on guys, facial hair is stylistic and everyone's gonna notice if it's gone 1 day, what the f*ck kind of guy is gonna worry about how his crotch is gonna look to the general population bald? | |

Dude... Get your trimmer (assuming you ave one for your beard, or whatever else you have to trim ), take the guard thingie off of it, right before you shower you can trim while you take a dump, man. Just turn the trimmer around and support your arm like you would while caulking a bathtub, you know, so you don't trim a hunk out or lop off your Johnson... LOL! I can't believe I'm telling another DUDE how to Manscape! Anyway, all the hair falls in the toilet, and you can rinse out the itchies while you shower, lol!

| why dont most men keep it trimmed ?? Posted: 6/30/2008 3:22:46 AM | Can't comment for anyone else but personally I keep myself very well trimmed or quite frequently shaved. Not only is it much easier to keep clean but I find that it is also nuch more pleasurable and more intimate when skin is together rather than hair.
I once had a partner who thought at first that although she was shaved that it looked silly on men but it wasnt long before she was asking if we could shave each other bacause it was an erotic experience for us both and simply felt so good.
|
| why dont most men keep it trimmed ?? Posted: 6/30/2008 3:37:27 AM | And I thought you women liked hairy men, no wonder we don't understand you. I guess this trimming/shaving malarky is an American thing too.
Surely it would only be an issue if the woman was giving 'deep throat' anyway wouldn't it?

| why dont most men keep it trimmed ?? Posted: 6/30/2008 4:58:22 AM | | Now that im single, I keep it well trimmed. But when im in a relationship, nomatter who it was with, we both let things grow and make shaving/trimming part of foreplay. I know alot of people have trouble letting somoene else shave/trim, but trusting your partner with this can be VERY erotic! | |
