The FIRST Global Poverty Act Bill, H.R. 1302, wasn't authored by Obama at all - and that's what Obama's S.2433 is BASED on.
Absolutely. I believe I said that the bill was a "done deal".
Obama wrote the FINAL bill on an issue that everyone knew ahead of time was going to pass. That gave him the ability to go carte blanche. Isn't that what I said?
Lets not forget the Global Poverty Act. Obama didn't just endorse it along with other members representing US citizens. He was a co-author and introduced the bill to be passed. It was obviously a done deal before he wrote the legislation as everyone present voted for it*. It was a carte blanche bill for Mr. Obama.
You can twist it any way you like. It's circumstances like this that gives legislators the ability to "add" whatever they want to a bill when they know beforehand that it will be passed and no one is going to read the updated version because the decision has been made beforehand.
You can yell louder than me. You can even call me a liar. But the facts remain the same when put under close scrutiny.
Obama is just as crooked as the rest of them. He's NOT the annointed one.
He's a mere mortal who is in it for political power to benefit his own personal interests. | |

Thank you. The underlying meaning to many of these contestations seems to be "In celebrating emancipation, we are only celebrating a victory for blacks."

A bill was introduced for African Americans who had been slaves in the Southwest celebrated June 19, commonly known as Juneteenth Independence Day, as the anniversary of their emancipation; encourages the people of the United States to observe Juneteenth Independence Day with appropriate ceremonies, activities, and programs
The difference between the bill introduced a decade earlier was this:
Ten years ago it was introduced as a day of recognition.
Obama introduced the new bill as a day of "appropriate ceremonies, activities and programs"

I love it when black people discuss our past and how it clearly empacts the present and how people come out and shoot it down as propaganda. Iguess we should sit back and continue to let massa tell us how to feel about everything.
