Great okay they get to go with mom. What you did was force your children to go to a gay pride parade that they didn't want to go to in the first place. Just because you got them there you seem to think we're stupid enough to believe you really have liberal minded children who went because they support the cause. Take them to a smoke filled bar. They're there. Good for you. Are you going to try to rationalize it and say they really want to be there? Yeah, you would. Your 8 year old has no interest in going to a gay pride parade. You got him there. Good for you. Keep it to yourself woman. What you did was stupid and irresponsible parenting that you will endless try to justify with you're silly rationalizations. Methinks you've got a case of lastworditis and we will never end, rectify or resolve this argument. I think you are an irresponsible parent. but seeing as how you are going to continue this arrgument until you think you have justified your position - you win. I surrender. I admit that your 8 year old wanted to spend his Saturday at a gay pride parade. You won. OK. Argument over. | |

We are free to parade down the street hold hands t with our GF/BF or hubby or wife, we are free to kiss in public without the threat of getting beat up or killed or stared at or laughed at. We are free to love whoever we want without judgement, others hating us, without being ailentating by our loved one and even strangers.. Gays endure this everyday, they can't do this things as we can..
So.. its a parade to celebrate that right to do so.. | |

And like another poster said, It is just the gay people pushing their beliefs on everyone else. If it wasn't they would not have the parade. They are just saying i'm gay and there is nothing you can do about it.
I'll tell you what i wished the goverment would do. sell california to the gays and put a fence around it. nobody gets in or out. in a few years there will be no gays because of there ignorance of not reproducing.
Now don 't get me wrong if you want to be gay, i have no problem with it. That is your life style, but don't be asking for special days just because your gay. Don't be asking for special rights just because your gay. and don't push your beliefs on me and the rest of the community. | |

I think this is where so many people get it wrong they're not pushing their beliefs on everyone, their pushing for acceptance, which you made abundantly clear that they still need to do with your next statement;

I think that statement shows you do have a problem with gay peoples life styles.
What the F ? Celebrate at home. Why do we need sexually oriented parades. Hetero don't have parades.
Why do we have Hot Rod parades, Greek festivals, cultural days, political rallies, Christmas parades, Jazz festivals, flower parades, zombie walks, Mardi Gras, Saint Patricks day parade..... because people of differant walks of life like to show of their cultures, life styles and interests to others in a bid to be accepted and so that others can learn about them, and also to entertain, hell festivals are fun.
To the OP...good for you, take your kids to as many and as varied places and events as you can, it's the best way to teach them about the world. I took my kids to a pride rally, it didn't mean I wanted them to be gay, my boys went to the international womens day march, didn't mean I wanted them to be women, hell I even took them to the cemetary for a look around, I certainly didn't want them dead. The only thing to remember is to discuss and explain the differant events and life styles with them in an honest manner. | |

The political rallies are for the canidates to try and IMPOSE THE BELIEF they have is the best one so they get elected.
As for the rest you mentioned all i can say is I know nothing about them so i wont say anything.
But you are right, i do not like the life style. I think it is morally wrong, unnatural and nothing even close to something kids should be subjected to.
But so are other things morally wrong .
I know some gay people and we talk and are friends and they know how i feel so they don't flaunt it in front of me and i in return don't try and push my thoughts on them.
But it is the ones that parade around with the signs and trying to make me accept them is the ones i have a problem with.
It is the lesbian that acts like a man, gets up in my face and then says (you want to hit a girl)..all of a sudden it becomes a girl instead of the man.
I don't have to accept them and why should they care. people get ridiculed for every reason under the sun from being short , fat, ugly,smart,dumb,and the list goes on and on. You don't see them pushing to be accepted.
I'm short and my hair is thin, guess what if you don't like it don't come around where i'm at. Oh yea but I need to have me a parade just as so you have to accept me and like my looks.
why is it so important that people accept the things they are supposed to do behind closed doors? Do they have plans on maybe coming farther out of the closet and doing these things in the public? I hope not!!
My sexual life is my sexual life and yours is yours. keep it where it belongs (in the bed room ) and iwill not be a bother to anyone. But when you put it out in the open for all to see and say LOOK AT ME, then there is a problem.. | |

It's more for to let others know that they are people too and want to be able to be free to hold hands in public, or steal a kiss from their partner in public or even hug their partner as we hetro do ALL the time without the threat of getting beat up, or taunted, or stared at, or laughed at or even killed.. And the fact that their relationships with the same sex isn't less meaning full then a hetro's relationship..
Why do people always assume that just because your gay that means you want to prance around and have sex with everyone?????? I know gay couple who are straighter then some hetro's and if you saw them you'd never know they were gay.. I know more hetro's who sleep around and act slutty in public then I know gays who do that.. | |
