| Criteria(+ or -) Which Is More Useful When Dating? Posted: 7/5/2008 12:26:18 PM | Both. When building or buying a house, the first question from an architect is "What kinds of things do you like to do?" The architect is DESIGNING your house.
The first question from a real estate agent is "Where do you live now?" (The next two questions are "How much do you want to spend?" and "How much can you afford?")
#1 is about your current lifestyle, with dreams and goals preceding the ultimate "Here's what it'll cost to build what you want." The architect will get your ideas on paper, and you'll have to figure out a way to pay for it to happen.
#2 is about "what's available" based on what you have done in the past.
Neither one of these "focus" on don't-wants, but often the first house an agent shows you has...problems: no yard, too much hard, no stairs, too much stairs, no view, cyclone fence, undesirable neighborhood....has anyone gone house shopping with an agent? I'd like to consider POF a bunch of "open houses"...some in neighborhoods I drive through, others in areas I want to avoid. But I'm not into "renting" and I don't want to do the Goldilocks "temporary eat/sleep" thing in someone else's house...if those blue shoe covers are by the door, I use them, or respectfully remove my shoes. If I would "get the willies" about removing my shoes, I won't do a walk-through, but I could nonetheless be civil to the host.
Oh, and I don't want to look at foreclosures. Bad joo-joo. | |

| Criteria: Which Is More Useful When Dating? Posted: 7/9/2008 11:07:32 AM | The longer I date, the more I can say about both types of preferences. Neither is more important. You have to know what your boundaries are (aka what you dont' want), just as you have to know approximately what you are interested in.

| Criteria: Which Is More Useful When Dating? Posted: 7/9/2008 9:42:39 PM | OH GOD....here we go... as i date more, i realize that what i want , which is " my type" is actually not really "my type" or whats best for me. Yes im crazy... My 'type' has pretty much never been a serious relationship for me.... What i want....is very easy.......what i dont want...... very difficult and pretty much cant exspect to find........ We have to all realize that we are human, and therefore make mistakes, and NO ONE is perfect, so except each others flaws and differences. | |
