Being friends but realizing I had too strong feelings

I feel for you.
I developed really strong feelings for a friend of mine. He had a girlfriend when I met him. (I met him at work) I fell for him and really thought it wouldn't work with him and the girl. He told me last weekend he bought a house and was going to ask her to move in.
My heart broke and I wanted to cry... I have since. I know how much that feeling sucks... but at least your guy is just dating! You still have a chance...

Well, I can't hold out hope for him, as it wouldn't be healthy. Really, if times change down the road, as he put it, "who knows?" But it's very uneven if I wait for him, it should be a compromise on both sides I believe and one where he and I are at equal footing on how we might feel for each other, still, the logical mind says one thing and like you are feeling right now, it still hurts. I am here to listen as well as get wonderful advice, as I have been through a lot of things myself.

It seems that is always an inevitable consequence of having the oppposite sex as your friend.
It's a tough balance to achieve although I must admit that I have yet to maintain a sucessful friendship with any one of the opposite sex.
I wish you luck, perhaps time will heal your heart break and maybe you will find that happy equilibrium.
