I completely (but respectfully) disagree.
My last LTR relationship we had sex on the second date, within a week of meeting and I would never consider her a slut, nor would anyone else that knows her. In fact, all my LTR's (both of them) started out with sex within the first week, where as the girls that wanted to "wait" to make sure we had a lot in common, didn't cut the mustard and never made it past the first 3 weeks.

There really is no "usually"...it's an individual thing. And even if a person has their own "usual" time frame, it can all go out the window upon meeting the "right" one.
Hear, Hear. Give that woman a cigar. Oh wait she's got one.
But still, I agree.
There are some men that I don't feel the "electricity" with right away, so I wait until I feel it or just stop waiting.
There are some men that I feel it with almost instantly; and then, every moment I am with him after that is a self test of will.
It all depends on the chemistry.

Well the first one took 13 years to wear off (I was married for 14) and the second one hasn't worn off yet ... but we broke up over a year ago!

That would be pretty expensive considering you live 1979.18 miles miles away. Lets see my jeep gets 20 mpg so that would be rougly $395.84 each way for a total of $791.68, add in roughly another $125.00 for food and drinks, $30.00 for that keychain in Kansas City that I just can't help buying, $26.00 for two boxes of condoms ... and, oh hell lets splurge, a vibrating ring for another $15.89 and I won't even count the cost of a motel room on the way because if I get tired I'll just sleep in the jeep. So we have a total of $958.57.
... Yeah, that's about the cost of a good quality gigolo right!

I remember that a guy used to have to "earn" being good enough to have intimacy with a woman. The age range of the women I have dated the past 5-6 years have been in the 20-25 age range. Every single one gave it up quickly and with almost no effort, I just thought it was the new, "easiness" attitude or just the type of women I dated. I read this thread and maybe I was just slightly clueless because the women's ages are across the board. I didn't mind the women giving it up quickly at the time, but I wasn't looking for a relationship. They all wanted a relationship, just not the type I was after. (as above poster mentioned I always required a std health checkup before intimacy, I'm a man, but not stupid. I love women but not enough to have my tool drop off). From all my previous experience I learned what I didn't want in a relationship, and I know I don't want the type of woman who gives herself easily to any guy that catches her eye. It could be the old fashioned bit of me (and this used to be the general opinion by all the men I personally knew) but to me there's a type of woman every man can have, and the type of women that you keep. | |

I figure if the guy I'm with wants it as much as I do - go for it! Life is too short and is meant to be lived and loving is living.....
Whether you jump into bed on the first date isn't what makes up your character. We are all human and have feelings (hopefully) and those feelings are what makes life so enjoyable. So, if you meet someone and you are immeditely "turned on" and can't wait to get your hands on them, why wait? It would be an incredible experience that you missed out on because the morality side of you kicked in. I, for one, can surpress my morality side and will usually go with the flow of the moment. I'm a big girl and I am in charge of my own destiny. I am a very physical person, so, being intimate whenever I feel like it just seem natural to me. I don't go second guessing myself on this topic. I've never regretted any one-on-one pleasure experience I've had to date. I have, however, regretted not having more of them due to the expectations of "how a good girls is supposed to act" per se! But, I'm older now and much wiser.  | |

well I only have my experience to go on ...I have been married twice ..with my first wife waited about four months ..were trying to wait till we were married ...a year and a half she cheated on me while i was at work ..and a month later she left me for the other guy ...on my second wife ..we had sex on the first date ...and have been married for 26 years total we were apart for a short time but it didnt involve cheating ..now we are back together ...and there is no doubt in my mind the next time we are apart one of us will be in the ground...so if i ever have another first date ..it will be my vote to get on with it ...any way i fell in lust with my wife the first time i saw her....it took me about 10 years to know her well enough to love her | |

The men/women I have been in Friends With Benefits it varies. No more than 3 meetings without deciding if sex is in the cards. But this is because I am not looking for love, I have that already!! | |
