For those of you who don't know it...this party marks the "anniversary" of when the parties really took force in our area! Patrick (Where is he now?!) hosted a smaller get together at McGurks...then moved on to using the Strat, which I somehow became co-host of. It was this party that so many friendships were formed, GNO's were started (Party on the Bush, Pofsters!), and the bar was set for St. Louis being a kick ass place for Fishies! :)
Very little drama has occurred at the parties...in spite of mixing and matching so many people in one large room! LOL Relationships (both the friendship and romantic sort!) have formed, lasted, ended...all as a result of the parties...but one thing is guaranteed...a GREAT TIME IS HAD! :)
I am looking forward to seeing everyone...whether a "newb" or a "seasoned fishie!" Let's strive for a wonderful evening for all! :) Here are a few things you can do to help contribute to the party success:
Browse the profiles and send out a couple email invites each day...to both genders! :) (Try a "Hi...saw your profile and I thought you might be a great addition to the St. Louis parties! Include a link to this forum!)
List the link and/or info on your MySpace, Facebook, Yahoo IM, etc.!
Invite your non POF friends...but yes, please encourage them to join POF!
And please...please! Be generous with your servers! :) The reason that we are always welcome back to the Strat, is because our Servers <3 Us! :) The Strat doles out a lot of generousity...allowing us to utilize the ballroom with no rental, providing free or hugely discounted drinks times, providing FREE grub, and more! :) | |

Meeting new peeps and the seasoned peeps is always a GREAT time and YES I agree , we have made some great friendships!
Some real connections and some great friends!
For those of you in serious relationships....just from this site...congrats!
Glad to see that happen..........when it does its magical!
But in the mean time ...being single and having FUN along the way is a GREAT time!
So lets ALL get ready to ROCK the STRAT ......and have a BLAST ...and invite away!

YES on August 24th, 2007 it was the first Strat party for me and many others...it was a big get together.. it was my first time to go to a POF party.... and oh boy was I a newbie.. but thanks to Steve KC for coming along at the right time --he broke the ice for me... wowza it has changed my life big time!!!
I have met some great people both male and female.. and no I haven't made a love connection but like I always say, one can NEVER have too many friends.
AND if someone is staying away due to someone else being there...well that is a shame and a sin... and besides there will be so many people there you may not even run into each other.... I mean come on.
so let's all get together maybe meet some new peeps and PARTY LIKE A ROCK STAR!!!
YEPPERS it has been one year.. and I like Cammie would like to have a pic of those of use who were at the first Strat party last year. That would be too cool. | |

Unfortunately, I cannot answer all the email replies right now...there seems to be a glitch with the POF mail! :O( I will as soon as it gets fixed!
Good news! Kenny...made a very generous donation for decorating supplies! Thanks, Kenny! Anyone else wishing to donate decorating supplies, please shoot me an email soon, as we have to finalize it all this coming week! :)
Matt...there will be lots of goodies in store...but some are surprises! An-tic-i-pa-tion! But looks like we are having a birthday spankin' line, with Jai leading! LMAO
I will be adding some things to the original post in message number 1...
The menu for FRI eve is Fried Chicken with all of the fixins...served buffet style, promptly at 8:00. It was a choice between this or an appetizer set up...I chose the latter to be different! :)
Also, a Sat morning breakfast buffet for only $5 per person has been added...eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, biscuits, etc....not sure on the hours served, but attendees staying at the hotel also get a late check out.
And after the BBQ/Volleyball...the eve can continue further for those who wish to make this a weekend thing! While it won't be exclusive to POF or any drink specials, on Sat they will have an Italian Dinner for all in attendance! Yes, free! And of course the room rates apply to all days.
Lastly...the hotel informed me that reservations can only be made up until the 7th and are not guaranteed unless with a credit card. So if you have ANY chance you might be staying, I strongly advise you to reserve your room. Cancellations can be made prior to the party for those emergencies! Better to be safe, than sorry! | |
