ok..newbies.. don't be shy.. I was shy last year this time, man oh man can you believe a year has gone by already, anyway after the first 30 seconds I was no longer a newbie and I was right in there with it all. I have to admit I have had some lasting memories and hope to make a few more at this party. | |

And I would stay at the Strat over a Motel 6 any day...you won't find roaches on your bed at the Strat 
No, it's not the Hilton or the Radisson or the Renaissance but if you want hotels like that, go for it...but you'll be paying out the wazzoo for the rooms for fancy smancy and you'll be driving to and from to Fenton to the Strat or possibly missing all the fun!

Posted: 7/27/2008 11:45:51 AM | I have had rooms at the Strat before and like the others have said, you get what you pay for, and for the most part, you are only in your room a few hours to sleep take a shower and get out of the there the next morning. It's more of a convenience for those of us that wish to party either late or with alcohol and don't want to deal with a possiblity of a DUI, DWI or worse. So for $35, it's well worth it.
But then like me and 2 of my sista's, we got lucky in our room at the Christmas party and had a friendly visitor show up...........as well as got to meet the gentlemen from the next room over. Not bad for a having a free room that night. 
I'm not sure if I'm getting a room for this party or not, maybe just so that I don't have to drive back down there on Saturday (beats forking out that much in gas driving an hour back and forth) but it's not like I need it for my drinking ability, since there will be no alcohol on my part that weekend. But I am sure one of my GNO sista's will have a drink for me! | |
