OK...agreed...the rooms are NOT the Hilton, but they serve their purpose. And for me personally, I much rather spend less moolah in a decent room, than more in a fancy one! LOL
They have been making gradual improvements to rooms, one wing at a time. Oh, and for those who absolutely want a nicer one, there are two jacuzzi rooms available, though not for the $35 rate. These are nice...decorated nice with canopy four posters, jacuzzi, etc...I am thinking they might run $79?? I usually get one of those, but this time I opted for the "party room" so I would have ample room for all the goodies (arriving early) and it's more room for after party, party activities. :)
But the standard rooms serve their purpose. If you do have any problems, inform the front desk and they will gladly rectify such or move you to another room. :) Some of the rooms tend to have a musty odor, though I have only noticed this on a few occassions, and it is usually because the ACs are not running until you get to the room and turn it on. But I just tend to bring a couple of candles or incense sticks! LOL | |

Kid... you made me spewwwwwwwww all over my new laptop on that one... OMG I so forgot about that night... I wonder if we can have that much fun on the 8th.....
HEY thinking about that... I am going to see if that cd will play in my laptop... we can have some good laughs and entertainment before the party....OMGGGGGGGGGGg

Of course I have attended a few of these and I would like to offer a suggestion. Since this is actually a singles website for the intention of meeting fellow singles can we limit the parties to singles only or have married or otherwise attached people wear scarlet bracelets or something to signify that they are not available. It is difficult enough for some to get up the gumption to actually attend a social event like this only to find out that married people are allowed to attend. It is so much easier to approach someone if you know that they are in the same boat as you. Just an idea, I will attend anyway, but I just felt it would be a courtesy to all those singles on this site to mention this.

Not so sure a drunk byte is such a good thing or anything that's going to happen.. I always seem to wake up in strange places when i drink (not that i get lucky, i just dont remember how i got there!  ), which also explains why i quit drinking... now that you have my entire life in a paragraph, i'm back to cloning dolly

Speaking of peeps being together......Dave and I are coming up on 7 months together. Yes I moved out and have my own place but we are still together.
Kat - The Azz Contest - now that I remember - especially Charlie (who got I think 2nd or 3rd cuz) he let us play with his azz all night long lol!!! Now I see Charlie blushing lol!
Looking so forward to this - I def will have my camera with a new card so I can take 800 or so pics (promise to upload these as I never did get St Pat's uploaded) and a few will be of the original Aug pofer's.

Welcome to all the newbies! You will have a great time. I have stayed at the strat everytime we have had a party there and just recently stayed there due to going out with Kat and Shellie. For some reason I couldn't walk straight after a night of partying with them.  We have booked a room for the entire weekend. It is well worth it and yes it may not be the Holiday Inn ect but the fun we have after the party, Denny's and back at the rooms is well worth it. | |

We came we saw and we PARTIED!!!! It's been almost a year since the GNO's started hanging out..... Damn time sure flies when you're having fun. Miss seeing my sista's, and look forward to seeing everyone at this party.
Kat girl, I need to get with you soon!!!! Haven't had much time this week, and still feeling a bit blah, but I'll be in party shape by 08-08-08!!!! Love ya' girls!!!!

This sounds like a GREAT idea, but POF rules stipulate that a POF party or event must be open to ALL members and you can in no way single a specific group out by using wrist bands or anything else. The only limiting factor allowed is age. This idea has been discussed in depth in the Host Thread and the Mods are very clear on what is and isn't allowed. Sorry, I guess you'll just have to ask!

Posted: 7/28/2008 10:45:27 AM | I had to go and save 141 @ from the high water again last night (1:00a.m.). That little spot sits in a hole and the water does not drain there well when it rains hard. So now I`m getting a little thirsty and I`m going to the Strat for Happy Hour...LOL.... I`m going to see Batman first...LOL...
On Friday, 8*-8*-8*, I will be there at about 3:30 enjoying some well deserved happy hour. I`m going to catch the bottled beer for $1.25 ( 3-6) and grab a snack. They are making some great improvements there. I hope everyone will have a great time there, I know I will !!!

First...thank you so much for the kind words on my hosting abilities! :) I have a wonderful time planning and expediting such...and praise God for my happy co-hostesses! 
Regarding the scarlett bracelets...LOL! The idea in itself might be nifty...but as Shell mentioned, the POF rules do not allow such. While the majority of us think of this as a "dating site"...it is open to marrieds, singles, seperated, and those just seeking talk/email as well as "intimate encounters."
However...I honestly think that history shows married folk are few and far between! So isolating them by making them wear bracelets, would be cruel, unwanted attention, in my eyes! If someone is coupled off with someone, it should be fairly obvious...if they just happen to be married but attending solo...then we have to rely upon communication, profile info, and honesty! (I think most are seperated and just pending a divorce??)
And I gotsa chime in about all of the renovations to the Strat! It is looking AWESOME, and they are really going out to make this debut party a good one! We are going to have killer lights, music, dance floor, and of course a huge bar that wont easily congest! :)
Looking forward to it...and I think we will easily top 400 at this one!
