KAT ~~~~ I am so glad you could work something out with Lionel. He was so freaking excited when I was telling him about the party. He said oh don't talk about it anymore till you get with her because I am getting so excited. THEN he said well even if she doesn't want me to take the pics, I am going to that party!!!! So there you go ladies, another single man. BUT looks like he will be taking our pics.
I have seen his work before. A gal that sits right next to me at work, he did her daughters wedding pics and said they were great.
See there....,that just goes to show you if you don't ask then how will anyone know what you want.
Ok I am asking... tall dark and handsome... to be specific~~~~ 6'2" lol oh yeah and has to have a job.. a good job.  BYTE go to your corner!!!!

So many people don't have "recent" pics available, and this is one way to make sure that everyone has a recent pic for their profile if they show up to the party.
Also, I'm off work on Friday so I might in Chesterfield shopping that afternoon so let me know if you need any help setting up or getting anything else done earlier in the day. | |

Theresa...this guy apparently has the whole shebang to do prom style photos...there will be a backdrop, personalized banner, and he even has folders to insert the photos which will have the POF logo! :) And if all goes will...he will return for future parties! So a whole lotta bang for our buck...or 5 bucks, to be precise! ;) I can ask him if there is any possibility of making one CD of all purchased photos, maybe? Then email them to the appropriate person?
But still bring your cameras...cause we will have the Aftermath thread as well! :) | |

I don't have the time right now to search for all the forum threads covering the hosting/event rules...but there ARE rules that you cannot exclude any POF member, with the exception to age brackets. And "under 30's" party...or an "over 45's" for example.
I am not saying I do not agree with you...but I guess possibly they consider that "single" has a multitude of definitions, to different people. Some married but seperated people consider themselves such...for example.
But all in all...the majority of attendees are SINGLE. :) | |

The married and looking still have a right along with those that are married and still have friends on POF. If you're worried about hooking up with someone married, just take precautions.

Parties are open to ALL individuals, no targeting of any one specific group of people.
Where the above rule has some flexibility is only in age range. A suggested "Age Range" can be denoted if you wish in the appropriate provided box.

Even though the title or subject line of a POF event or party may contain the word "single" that does not mean ONLY singles can attend. To host an event or party and exclude any one group you risk your account being suspended or worse, deleted.

Pieceofyourheart...I think this is getting stretched out of proportion! This is a GREAT place to meet singles! And I personally have not ever had an issue with massive quantities of married folk attending our parties! Of course there are the couples who have MET AS A RESULT OF POF. Why would we disclude them?? And members are encouraged to bring along friends and adult family members, some of who may not be single. But the way *I* view it, is that it is networking! What if Johnny brings his married sister, Sally...and Sally, in meeting and talking with Fred...thinks Fred and her single friend Lisa would be a perfect match?! ;) Then a connection is made through networking! ;)
And again...I think that for the MAJORITY...if someone is married, they are very upfront about it...at the parties and here on the site. Listing it in their profile or telling people upfront. It is not like we attract a non-single group! Out of 600 attendees, I bet there are less than 10, who are "unavailable!"
I just feel like this is being made into an issue, when it is a non-issue. :) And aside from that...when talking with someone...even though it IS a "singles event"...nothing wrong with asking, "So...you are single?" :) | |

Peace....I have been to alot of these parties and I would say 99 percent are single..Sometimes they meet some at a party,bring them to the next and not dating them by the next party..Alot of us have become friends thru these parties..so if your friend meets someone they are still invited to come. | |

This party will also have a Strat bouncer at the ballroom door, checkin IDs and stamping hands or putting bracelets on. EVERYONE BRING IDs TO BE SAFE!! Some bars in the area are now REQUIRED to check ALL IDs regardless of age appearance, by law. :)
